I went to see the Batman 2022 in AVX cinema within the cineplex. The sound system was incredible as you can tell it’s my first time after the Covid restrictions have been lifted to enjoy any movie. The cleaness of this place is good I was able to tell by examining the washroom during the long length of the movie. The good was good since the popcorn and the drinks were fresh besides the nasho that was a bit soggy but it’s OK. Cineplex is well situated with plenty of parking spots for everyone coming from the island, I’m telling you it’s worth it!! You can book online before coming and bear in your mind the long queues for checking VAXI and the long queues for food as well entering the movie too. The seating was nice except when it’s layed back the back seaters can hit with their feet your back of the seat so don’t sit well in front in AVX CAUSE ANYWAY THE SCREEN IS INCREDIBLY HUGE.
Cineplex is one of the best movie theaters of Montreal. They have 22 theaters there, which is quite a lot for nowadays. Ho wever, the ticket can be expensive. If you go on Tuesdays it's half-price. Yesterday I went to watch Avatar in ScreenX theater, it was a good experience where ScreenX opens up images horizontally for a panoramic effect. I give 5 stars for the cinema theatres, staff, services, games, but I give 3 stars for cleanliness.
The Experience : I’ve already watched Avatar 2 in New Jersey at Imax large screen. Today, oct 28th jan 2023, me and my gf been to this theatre to experience the same movie again Avatar : way of water on ScreenX , a 270 degree Angle wide . Before, Ive noticed this screen X in places like Ottawa wondered if Quebec have this . Thanks to Laval! Probably one out of 2 theatres in Greater Montreal to have this ScreenX . It’s also probably one of the biggest Theatre I’ve ever seen in greater Montreal area. Very large space for parking . The seats were pretty cozy and clean. Especially for a movie that lasts like 3 hrs they did provided enough comfortness I must admit. Audio and Sound were great . I’ve experienced almost all technological sounds like ultraAVX, doLby atmos. This one does have good surround sounds The staff did speak English as well as French with great respect not sure about others as everyone’s exp varies depends on timings on this issue. They also have great play arcade area for kids. Expenses : It was great experience, ticket priced like 19$ CAD each. We bought like classic poutine costed like 13$ each and medium size Diet Coke. And the food tasted theatrically ok not as much as endeavouring lol. They have food items which made me feel quite expensive Cleanliness: It’s quite Lucid that the theatre have kids area to play so expect more families and obviously it may be quite messy at arcade area as well at popcorn section. Yet, it may vary based on the times we go as the staff may run as per their shifts from what I believe. The toilets were moderately clean moderately. Overall, I give this place 4stars as I believed it’s quite outdated model and needs some modern renovation. Apart from that it’s fun place to hang out for sure with your family
Great theater in a great location right by Centropolis, Carrefour Laval, Carrefour Bus Terminus, The Highway 15 and SmartCentres Laval Central. Plenty of movie showings every day in both English and French and the indoor arcade is cool. Be prepared to spend way too much on popcorn or other snacks at this place because prives are insane.
Great theatre, very busy and service is good post the pandemic. Lots of parking and very accessible from the main highways. Great selection of movies and all the latest releases. The new Screen X is alright, nice to try once but I wouldn't recommend it all the time as it's not worth the extra $7.00 per ticket.
Went to see Avatar 2 as a double date. Cold popcorn and low butter amount. Movie got paused one hour in by managers to verify people's seats because some people didn't get to sit where they reserved. This check couldn't be done earlier? Anyway, one hour later, the movie shut down because of a storm that cut the electricity. It was fine, we all waited for about 15m to see what was going to happen. After those initial 15m, the movie started up again but later down the line from where we were spoiled, then started shuffling back to older chapters. The movie then restarted from around 30m from where we were when the electricity went down with no sound... The movie cut once again to come back minutes later with no sound again. After I had decided I had enough, I left and asked for a refund to the person in charge and all I got was a rude response saying "the cashes are closed take this coupon for a free movie". I spent 6$ booking fee online to reserve tickets, paid 17$ for the movie that got ruined and paid 17$ for a bag of cold popcorn and a large coke. In the end I got a coupon for a free movie. Didn't finish either of my snacks out of frustration, terrible management. I understand that the storm is out of their control but their response to it is, and it was appalling. The only thing that was good about that night is that I can look back and laugh at it with friends.
The image and sound are incredible. The seats recline way to much in my opinion. After 2 hours your back starts feeling it. But over all it was a great idea to watch Avatar 2 here.
It was a halloween movie Halloween Ends, so there were a lot of kids. There was a pack of about 20 that were talking from start of movie to end, constantly getting in and out of the room in groups of about 8. Someone warned them to stop talking so loud, all they did was make a scene. About halfway in the movie they changed seats to go to the 1st row in front, they were getting up in turns and showcasing each other with the light of their phone, it was a perfect display of how a few immature kids can "have fun" by ruining a movie experience for hundreds of people in 2022. The manager did nothing during all that time, but he did pay us back the price of the tickets. Worst movie experience ever.
Beautiful and clean cinema. Nice snacks and drinks options. Huge rooms. Fun arcades games for after the movie. The bathroom are clean as well.
This is a really nice place to watch a movie. The Cineplex in Montreal are generally outdated and unclean. This was a great movie night experience. Very busy but the concession lines move quickly and the staff are great.
