Extremely comfortable theater to watch a movie. The seats are large and nicely padded with plenty of legroom. Also, no matter who is sitting in front of you there will not be a problem to see the screen.nnI would also like to note that the theater I watched the movie and was extremely clean. The bathrooms were clean as well.nnAnother thing to note is that the concession stand was very reasonably priced. I ordered a large Coke Zero and it did not cost an arm and a leg at $6.50.
I recently went to Cinéma Banque Scotia to watch Sinners, and I was genuinely impressed. The movie was powerful, dark, thought-provoking, and emotionally intense. It explored heavy themes with raw storytelling and strong performances that stayed with me long after the credits rolled.nnThe theatre itself was great clean and comfortable with good sound and screen quality. The bathrooms were clean, which is always a plus. Snacks and food are on the pricey side, but that’s pretty standard for most cinemas.nnWhat I love most is the location super convenient whether you’re driving or taking the metro. It’s right in the heart of downtown, which makes it easy to grab food or explore before or after the movie. I’ll definitely be back.
My friends and I recently visited Cineplex Cinemas Banque Scotia in downtown Montreal to catch a screening of Avatar, and honestly, the experience was fantastic from start to finish.nnFirst off, the atmosphere is just right. Despite being a large theatre, it felt very welcoming. A huge shout-out to the staff, everyone we interacted with was friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful, which really set a great tone for the evening. It makes such a difference when the service is warm and inviting.nnFirst off, the atmosphere is just right. Despite being a large theatre, it felt very welcoming. It makes such a difference when the service is warm and inviting.nnWhile we went for a huge blockbuster this time, I’ve noticed they have a great selection of films. I would highly suggest this theatre for alternative movies as well. Whether you are there for the latest sci-fi spectacle or something a bit more niche, this is definitely one of the most comfortable and reliable spots in Montreal to see a film. We will definitely be coming back!
Best cinema in Montreal. Best screens best sound, best movies. They just need to fix the escalators. Saw Marty Supreme in 70mm but the theatre was on the top floor and we had to walk up.
Sadly, after many years of holding a decent reputation - the theater this evening was horrendous. Most escalators weren't functional and made for unpleasant experience to walk up 3 flights of stairs to the third floor to watch a movie. Although theaters on the floor were showing movies - the service bar was closed and made for having to go back to the 1st floor in case something was desired. Many people expressed discontent.nService however was very good and the quality of the theater is still decent.
