From outside of Quebec on vacation and had unexpected anaphylactic shock from a newly developed allergy. Had extremely kind care and quick care from the doctors & nurses in the emergency room. Thanks for the prompt and caring help.
Chum had me on strong painkillers within 1 hour of my arrival. I was in a private room about 8 hours after and they performed surgery within 36 hours of my initial arrival. People often complain about the Quebec medical system... Thankfully mine was stellar
Went to the urgent care for something really dumb but staff was very nice and empathetic with me. My issue required specialized equipment from the OR and despite that department not having much leeway for me, a nurse the goat managed to make it happen thus I didn't have to come back another day where I could've aggravated my situation.nnLong wait time is a given but you are well taken care of afterwards. Lovely people and a very clean space, if ever I need urgent care again, I wouldn't mind going to this hospital again
These people saved my life. I came in with two huge tumors on my colon and liver, extreme pain and blood loss, and was practically a skeleton since I could barely eat. They blasted me with the strongest chemo they could and it worked like magic... the pain went away and I could eat again. Then with two surgeons working together they cut it all out.nI have a high risk of recurrence and so the battle isn't over. I'm on chemo again now to lower that risk. But in my eyes Dr. Baudoux, Dr. Schwenter, Dr. Vandenbrook and Lidya Moulai my pivot nurse are angels from heaven. They've given me a second chance at life when the odds were slim.nI've had good experiences with the desk workers here too, and the hospital is a lot more nicely decorated and colorful than most.nMy only complaint about this place is how jank their communication is... they do important stuff like confirming appointments through old fashioned phone calls, rarely doing email or text. I always have to be ready to dive out of the shower like a ninja in case my phone rings. Seems a bit archaic to me.nBut all in all, these folks have earned my trust.
Took a while to get the operation date.16 months But the Care was top notch and the facilities are new. Private rooms! Mine had a full bathroom with a shower! No TVs in the rooms. No Fans. if you gona be there for a longer stay. Come prepared. Ear plugs & Throat lozenges are a must if they intubate you your gona need them..
