Story

As part of a network of not-for-profit Thrift Shops, CBS Thrift supports the local and global relief, development and peace projects of Mennonite Central Committee. Proceeds from the thrift shop are redirected locally and globally to meet basic needs and work for peace and justice.

As God's conduit of love, we strive to be a friendly, caring presence in our community and the communities we serve with MCC. Our 180+ volunteers, as well as our managers work hard to provide quality items for resale and the best customer service possible.

My first time and I was recommended to go. So many great deals and good quality items.
You can find good books here occasionally, softcover is two dollars. Done sorting goods, clothing and crockery. Not all items are worth the price tag though. There was a candle marked CAD 2.50 but it's original Dollarama price sticker showed CAD 2.
This place use to be a good thrift store until they turned greedy. They now sell donations they've gotten for FREE for close to retail. $400 for a 16 mega pixal canon camera? Are you joking? DO NOT DONATE HERE they let greed get the better of them the whole point of people donating is so those less fortunate can afford things not rip people off for items they've gotten FOR FREE
Loved being a CSJ here and love volunteering here too! The prices are awesome and there's 75% off of one of the colour tags each week. Everybody is incredibly kind and makes the store a super welcoming environment. Highly recommend for shopping and volunteering!!
Nicer since the renovation. Some things seemed far overpriced but others were very reasonable. It's hit and miss I guess, depending on what you're searching for. Staff was quite friendly too.
