Story

As part of a network of not-for-profit Thrift Shops, CBS Thrift supports the local and global relief, development and peace projects of Mennonite Central Committee. Proceeds from the thrift shop are redirected locally and globally to meet basic needs and work for peace and justice.

As God's conduit of love, we strive to be a friendly, caring presence in our community and the communities we serve with MCC. Our 180+ volunteers, as well as our managers work hard to provide quality items for resale and the best customer service possible.

Lovely place and staff . I come from Niagara falls to support them . The cloths are good quality and clean , very affordable. The bonus is that the money goes back into the christian community . I love this place and send all my friends here .
This used to be my favourite area thrift store, but since the renovation prices have gone up so much I am going there less and buying less when I do. They pull out anything they think is worth more and put the prices much higher than normal thrift store prices. Multiple times lately I've picked something up and put it back as soon as I saw the price. It is a good place for sewing supplies, but I was recently told they'd put the price for fabric up to $4/yard. I have multiple quantities of fabric I've bought at other thrift stores and the most expensive was less than half that. Not only that, you can't return or exchange anything. I bought a buttonholer for $20 for my vintage sewing machine that turned out to be the wrong model so I can't use it, can't return it, and wouldn't even be able to get that much for it on Ebay. I hate to leave a negative review but it's a real disappointment how this store has changed. The volunteers and staff are really lovely, friendly people and it is still possible to find overlooked gems from time to time but I am favouring other thrift stores now.
Absolutely love this place. We never leave empty handed and always find MORE than we came looking in search of!
I have shopped at this store for years. It is my favourite trotting experience. Always full of interesting stuff and a trip down memory lane. Since the stock is always changing it is a new experience every time. Thrifting is an adventure.nI love the new renovated space. It’s bigger and brighter and easier to find.nThe volunteers give you a smile when you walk in and you leave wearing it.
Nope I will not be back I will not return to your location. I felt claustrophobic and I felt like I was going to throw up. I really do wish you kept one or two windows on the front of the building it's dark in my eyes I have read a bunch of reviews and a lot of the reviews were positive things and that is the 5%. I just can't I know I was hoping for furniture like it used to be but I guess you're not the same business you were before so I accept that you're a new business I accept that everything has changed and my personal jaded Twisted light I will not be coming back
