Story

Justine Vo’s only mission and passion is to help her clients be well and pain-free as fast as she can, and to maintain good health for life. She shares the “uncommon” common-sense back to basics approach to physical, internal and mental health issues. She uses a combination of alternative health care modalities to get results - including osteopathy, acupuncture, reflexology, energy healing, diet and lifestyle education, and physical/mental/environmental health risks prevention.

I came to Justine after I was hit with a baseball bat in school and suffered a serious concussion that left me paralyzed from the waist down and left my body shaking intensely. I had no control over the shaking and I could not stop shaking until I fell asleep. The pain from shaking caused me unimaginable pain and body soreness. I went to a handful of different doctors and hospitals and no one could explain to me why I was unable to walk and shaking heavily after suffering a concussion. The best they could offer me was pills to ease the pain and suggested I should see a psychologist even though I have had no personal issues in my life. When I came to Justine, she explained to me that this was not mental and that the where I got hit was my frontal lobe which controls your motor function which is why I was in no control of my body. Within a couple months, Justine worked her magic and stopped my shaking and got me out of a wheelchair and I could never than her enough. She also fixed my scoliosis and is currently helping me with some serious stomach issues that have caused me to vomit almost everything I eat and I have made a lot of progress seeing Justine consistently. Justine is a very kind and fun human being and I enjoy my conversations with her and she has also taught me some valuable life lessons. Also, Justine's receptionist Gwen is amazing and always puts a smile on my face! I would not be walking, able to go to school and be a normal teenager without Justine and my advice to anyone that sees her is take her advice because it changed my life and I believe it can change anyone for the better. Justine is an excellent healer who understands the body from both Western and Eastern medicine points of view. With any health issue or injury, she is my go-to person to bring me back into balance and feeling great again. Thanks Justine!

Justine worked with both my son and I. She solved a chronic problem of mine that I had been suffering with for years. For my son she worked really well with him and explained the importance of posture as well as sleeping on his back. Since seeing her, both of our issues have greatly improved. I would highly recommend Justine!

My mother had extreme swelling of her feet and ankles and Justine was able to treat her without having to go to the doctor and have water pills prescribed. She explained to my mother the importance of drinking lots and lots of water which turned out to be miraculous because her swelling was gone in 2 days.

This is the only public review and recommendation I have ever done for a service provider, but no one deserves it more than Justine and I think people should know about her and CHR Health. After a serious back injury 6 years ago, I was severely limited in my daily activities, and it only seemed to get worse over time. The doctors recommended high dosage pain killers which did nothing for the root cause of the pain. The physiotherapist treated with ultrasound which is completely ineffective and a total waste of time and money. Also, the physiotherapist recommended exercises for strengthening my core which definitely has relevance, but did not work in the state that I was in. The problem was that my spine was twisted and my muscles were all contracted and inflamed, and so until the fundamental issue had been resolved, daily exercise was literally a pain and only seemed to make matters worse. At this point I did not think I had any real options and started bracing myself for a life with chronic pain and limited physical activity. Fortunately, I had heard good things about osteopathy and decided to try a couple of sessions at Justine. While it was not instantaneous resolution of all my back problems, for the first time I felt that something was working, and slowly, steadily over time, Justine has helped bring me back to a much higher quality of life, in some ways better and more fundamentally sound than I was even before my injury, and importantly without the daily pain. I have started a gradual reintroduction of swimming, skiing, hiking and other activities which is an extremely welcome development, as I thought I would have had to give this up for good. Justine is unique in that she is extremely skilled, she understands and works to resolve the root cause of your pain, and she works hard to make you better at every single therapy session. I have tried many massage therapists and so I know how to tell when someone cares or not. Justine looks at the whole picture and considers all the small changes you need to make in your daily routine and habits, to make sure that the improvement is sustainable, from sleeping position, approach to exercise, diet, and basic Tai Chi which is another valuable health skill I acquired thanks to Justine. To top it off, Justine is a very pleasant and truly authentic individual, and her assistant Guen always very helpful as well. So in brief, if you are in pain and frustrated with lack of progress from other conventional and/or alternative venues, I would say that seeing Justine is probably the most impactful individual thing you can do to improve your health and quality of life.
