Chocho Hot Pot was a really enjoyable experience for us. The place is spacious and clean, great for going with a group.nThe staff were very kind and attentive. Having your own burner at the table is a nice touch you just press a button, heat your pot, and keep it at the level you want. It was our first time trying it this way and we liked it.nThe halal menu option was important for us. They also brought separate, clean plates and utensils specifically for halal, which was a thoughtful detail.nSince it’s all you can eat, everyone could take what they wanted and eat comfortably. There’s a good variety, and everything felt fresh. We especially liked the dumplings.nSome people might say it’s expensive, but considering it’s all-you-can-eat, it feels worth it. You go hungry and leave full.nWould I go again? Yes
Love this place! I honestly love having my own hotpot that way I get what I put in, sometimes it can be a fight with others. Haha. Quality of food is definitely good, the service was fantastic. The restaurant was nice and clean. I really enjoyed all the different things they offered on the menu but also the buffet style items. Desert bar was amazing, candy bar was amazing. Little pricey but dang it was good! Highly recommend trying this place out!
Visited in early May for lunch on the weekend. Price was $52.99 and we added the all-you-can-drink as well. Similar to Dolar Shop, just with unlimited food. If you like Dolar Shop and can eat a lot, might be worth while. I like that they have selection of ingredients you can also just pick ala carte included halal meats.nnPersonally, I can't eat as much as I used to so I was super full at the end of this meal.nnThere is free 2 hour parking in the back if you register your plate in the restaurant.
Reservation is highly recommend. This place is really busy. You won’t be able to get a table if you walk in because all the tables are always filled. Our server Daniel was really good. It was our first time coming here and he explained the process and made everything simple. We had the Halal menu and it was really tasty. I like how there is wagyu halal beef. I picked the spicy broth and it was tasty and spicy. Only thing I wish they had was a split bowl so I can have two different kind of soup. They have a $10 off of your birthday month and it only applies BEFORE 5PM. This I think is ridiculous I believe it should be the whole day. If they wanted to celebrate their birthday here who is going to come in with a big group before 5PM.
In a market already oversaturated with hotpot restaurants comes ChoCho, another All You Can Eat joint that promises the same thing as all the rest.nnI was holding off on going to ChoCho because the price wasn't right for AYCE, but I eventually got dragged there. This is definitely in the higher tier in terms of coughing up the dough, so if you're inclined towards fine dining, this would be the hotpot equivalent.nnTo set itself apart from its competitors and also, I suspect, to justify the $52.99 price point, they have {admittedly} one of the most plentiful and diverse selection of foods I've ever seen. It's augmented by the addition of dimsum items, comfort foods and an actual candy/dessert bar, all of which haven't made an appearance in too many other hotpot places, if any, so it's pretty genius.nnAnother thing they've done is adopted an electronic interface where you can submit your order of drinks and meats instead of the pedestrian way of ticking off boxes on a piece of paper. Apparently, this is intentional. The meat, probably the most high value item on the menu, needs protection. If it were laid out with all the rest, there would likely be anarchy because everyone would be gunning for it. This way, they can control the supply and demand.nnAll this to say that regardless of where you hotpot, it pretty much all tastes the same. Yes we had our own individual pots, and yes we could also mix up our own sauces, but really, this wasn't any better than Happy Lamb or Big Way. And in fact, I had a bone to pick with their satay sauce, which was so damn spicy I had to dilute it with an entire bowl of soy sauce and a few cups of their mint water, which was surprisingly refreshing. I cannot handle anything spicy so this is just my personal preference.nnIt's the sauce that drives the hotpot so without the satay sauce, this car was going nowhere fast. The meal was fine but I would have enjoyed it way more if their satay sauce didn't register on the Scoville Scale.nnI'm glad that I at least tried it out, but this wouldn't be my first pick for hotpot. Still, it's at least worth a go, and in terms of quantity/selection of food, you are certainly getting your money's worth.
