My 3rd time eating at Big Way in a week...2nd time at this location.  This one compared to the other 2 locations I've been to has been the best. Feels more open and less crowded, even though it was packed and ppl lining up inside and outside too.nnMy wife and I brought grandma and our 2 daughters here for the first time. We had booked a spot on the waiting list online this is recommended if you are going during the busy time. We came for lunch during Monday Family Day Holiday. It was quite efficient here and food is always good, which is the reason I come back. Price is affordable and the ice cream is the best part. One thing disappointing was that we didn't get a free drink during the Happy Hour because it's a Holiday.nnService is still one thing I couldn't give 5 stars to in each of the 3 locations I've been to. Not enough smiles and energy. All staff works very hard I can see, but it doesn't seem they are excited to be there.

big way is a solid hotpot spot. its a fun experience where you can choose your own toppings and has a free sauce bar and free ice cream at the end of your meal but the soup bases are just ok. plus the atmosphere of the restaurant is chaotic and squishy. the good thing is that everything is based on weight so the meal can be cheap.

This was my first time experiencing this style of hot pot, and it was quite unique. You start by selecting your ingredients from an extensive array of options, including sliced meats, processed meatballs, noodles, fresh vegetables, and more. Once you've chosen your items, you weigh them and pay. Next, you select a broth, and the restaurant cooks everything together before serving it to you.nnWhile it takes away the interactive fun of cooking it yourself, the end result is undeniably delicious, even if it looks like a big bowl of slop. It's a different approach to hot pot, but one that’s worth trying for the flavour alone. Overall, it was a great experience.

It's a nice place to grab a bite if you're wanting an individual hotpot experience; you have your own hot pot, so it's helpful if you like spicier broths versus others. You weigh how much of the raw ingredients prior to broth, which then factors into how much you pay. I appreciate how there are multiple kinds of noodles, soup bases, and the self service form albeit it may not be for you if you're indecisive about what you like. The atmosphere in the decor and feel is fine, neither offensive nor remarkable; though at peak time it was alive and loud with people talking and enjoying their meals. The people working when I went were courteous, and polite! Parking is difficult, I had to park by Imperial/Central Park a couple blocks away.

Wow was it ever busy! Even on a Monday night there was a queue. Definitely worth the wait though. Love all the options and the ice cream at the end. I would note that the tables are very close together so we did have people bumping into us as they walked past. For reference our two bowls in the photo were $45 together before tip. Thrilled that they have two vegan broth options. Will definitely be coming back.
