Big way hotpot is a you pick they cook concept, where you choose your ingredients, then they weigh and cook it on a broth of your choice. Plenty of students, and people who like hot pot come here. They also have a self service sauce area. Overall it was pretty tasty. I would recommend being selective of what you want, or you might end up paying more.
Big Way Hotpot is always delicious, and with drinks and dessert included, the value is amazing! The food didn’t turn out as I expected this time, but the manager was so kind that it completely made up for it. I’ll definitely come back again
It’s a very nice restaurant and I really enjoyed it. But honestly, if you don’t have an Asian friend with you, it feels almost impossible — everything is very confusing and you don’t really know how to combine things. You end up feeling like a fish out of water.nnThe ambiance was great; when we arrived we didn’t wait too long, but I noticed a lot of people standing in line. We paid $61 for two people, which I think could be a little more affordable. I’m only deducting one point because even though we mentioned that we didn’t know anything, no one really helped us.nnI would definitely come again, but next time with an Asian friend .
Perfect for any budget since you pay based on the weight of your bowl. There’s a wide selection of meats, seafood, noodles, and lettuce. While veggie options are a bit limited, it’s still a solid choice for vegetarians. Everything was fresh, and the broth we tried both the Signature Ma La Tang and Miso was incredibly flavourful and piping hot.nnOne of my favourite features was the sauce station. It includes recipe suggestions with pictures, which was super helpful for us as first-timers. Everything is clearly labelled so there’s no confusion when customizing your bowl.nnWe’re heavy eaters and were generous with the meats in our bowls. Even then, two adults walked out absolutely stuffed and satisfied for just $60 total. We stayed full for hours!nnWe went on a Sunday at 6 PM and didn’t have to wait party of 2, though it was still busy. The space is quite small and the tables are close together, but the atmosphere was manageable. Joining the waitlist online ahead of time helped us plan our arrival perfectly.nnService was great! Friendly, fast, and efficient. Our food was ready in under 10 minutes, which gave us just enough time to get settled and prep our sauces.nBonus: they offer free ice cream at the end!nnThere’s paid street parking nearby ~$5 for 1.5 hours.nnWould highly recommend for hot pot lovers or anyone curious about trying something new. It’s a great option for both light eaters and adventurous foodies looking to experiment with flavour combos. I’ll definitely be back & can’t wait to introduce friends and family to this concept.
Self-serve hotpot, great idea, great implementation!nnThe selection of ingredients is really nice, I would say that the hardest part is not to overfill your place, and be responsible enough to balance flavours although you can just put in everything you like and forget about conventions. I particularly liked their choice of seafood and balls fish, lobster, mushroom, .... The broth choices are interesting, although not very spicy for our taste, if you can handle spicy food, go directly for hot; we liked both the signature broth and the szechuan green pepper.nnWe were there at happy hour, so we got a free green tea. It would be great if there was a choice of unsweetned beverages, but the tea was nice. You also get an ice cream included with your soup we had milk tea, but I have seen pictures of a flavour that looks like matcha.nnThe staff is super friendly and helpful, they explain you how everything works and everyone is very attentive.nnThe place is a regular chain restaurant, nothing fancy. When it gets busy it is a bit noisy, but nothing to complain about.
