We went on Friday lunch time and was able to get a table right away. The restaurant is busy and the parking lot is full, you have to wait quite a while for a parking spot. We ordered cold noodle which is their signature dish. Noodle has a chewy texture, the arrow root slushy soup was nice as well, it has a mild fruity taste and is quite refreshing. We also ordered pork bone soup and it was nice as well, not as salty as other Korean restaurants, the meat falls off from the pork bone easily. Unlimited side dish was also a bonus. I don't find the food to be exceptionally good as others who had reviewed the restaurant. But overall, the service was quick and the food was good.
One of the highly rated Korean Restaurants in GTA, that lives up to its words. Authentic homely Korean delicacies setup in a fantastic location with an amazing ambiance. The restaurant usually gets crowded during peak hours so be well prepared to wait at times. The staff is extremely friendly and warm. I really liked the service. You get ample parking space at the plaza..I would highly recommend this restaurant for Korean specialties.
Spacious spot with table seating in the form of booths. The pork bone soup was excellent, probably one of the most flavorful ones I've ever tried. Of course, we also had to try the cold noodles, so we got one to share and it was quite good. The staff was kind and very prompt.Food: 5/5
Had a really good lunch experience here on my birthday. The staff were accommodating and gave us all the utensils and take out containers we needed. One of us has a shellfish allergy and the staff made sure to let us know which of the many banchan dishes did not contain shellfish. The food was tasty and the portion sizes are huge. My tofu soup had fresh octopus in it, which is a rare find! I will definitely revisit!
So yummy! Their Korean dishes are so solid and I'm totally in love with their cold noodles! I had it in the middle of the winter and even though I was freezing, it was 10/10 worth it. And the blood sausage...such a treat! Will be back!
Food is decent; slightly on the higher price end. I recommend trying the soondae blood sausage and the cold noodle. They specialize in their cold noodle! You get a variety of side dishes but they didn’t really stand out to me. Place gets really busy, so be prepared to be on a waitlist once you get there.
This is the best you can get including all GTA area. The stock and the texture of the noodles are the artworks of years of experiences. Always crowds of customers including a lot of people wait in line no matter when you arrive, because all the K food lovers know this is a treasure place for authentic Korean cuisine. The service is quick and direct, because the food is way too good, the service is no more necessary to be very splendid in order to attract customers. All in all, please go to this place if you want to taste the true, authentic of Korean cuisine. Otherwise, you will definitely waste your money in some fake places else and start being regretting for your previous choice.
We come to Cho Sun Ok for their cold buckwheat noodles the bibim and the noodles in slush and their soondae every summer. They are done perfectly each time. We find that there aren't too many dish options here as this restaurant kind of specializes in the buckwheat noodles. They have other items on their menu but I can't say how good they are as we haven't tried them. In terms of timing when to go, I usually go right as the restaurant is opening to avoid line ups as this place is quite popular and they do get busy. Sometimes it's better to call and find out if they have a long lineup or not. Worst case scenario, if you are super hungry and they are very busy, there's a My My Chicken with delicious Korean fried chicken next door.
A hearty dining experience overall. The bibimbap was really great and the pork was very tasty. The service was really quick and the appetizers were OK. Really liked the chicken katsu, though as a spice-lover I still wish the food were richer in flavor in general, just seemed a bit under-seasoned. On weekends, this place is packed and there's a long wait.
Give a five star just because the food were so yummy! Definitely worth a visit, and there's free parking too. They were so busy, and the server continously wanted to kick us out early continously came by for tea, but we weren't even done our food Parking: Free!
