We came here on New Year Eve and became 1st customer of them. The staff supper friendly and I love the food as well. The restaurant look nice and clean. Their dishes are really authentic and ingredients are fresh, but for us, we love rich flavours, so we asked for a bit sauce aside to add in the dishes. In general, they are really good.
Great simplistic ambience. Flexible sitting, as well as booth sitting areas. Food freshly made, so be prepared for the many sides it can come with depending on what you order. Check out the menu so you have an idea what they offer. Server was attentive and answered my questions, even made some recommendations. You CANNOT miss the mung bean pancake. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids option and the food is on a tray that's shaped like a car. Parking: Lots of parking in this area.
Bap.zip has an absolutely phenomenal eggplant dolsot/bibimbap and cold noodles! Their whole menu is simple yet their flavours in each dish compliment each other so well. Ingredients are fresh and food comes in hot unless if you’re getting cold dishes, then it’s PERFECT for a hot day! We’ve been back a few times now and the staff is so accommodating every time we had a party of 18 one time, just be sure to call ahead if you want to get a larger party in! The servings are perfect and the side dishes are also great - their service is always so attentive and waiters/waitresses are very kind. Can’t wait to come back again!
I was here with my coworkers last night and it was so busy that the waiting time was too long. However I enjoyed our dining experience. First off, the waitress for our table did a great job checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Secondly, the food was good with reasonable price. I would take my family to this restaurant again.
Not a lot of restaurants specialize in bibimbap so I was pretty excited to try this place out. From walking in, the decor is very nice and we got sat in our own private booth. I decided to order the eggplant bibimbap and the mungbean pancake as a lot of restos don’t sell these type of pancakes. I’ve only had it in Korea and was excited to see it on the menu. The bibimbap came piping hot and it was so DELICIOUS! The best bibimbap I’ve ever had honestly. The rice was crispy, the eggplant was fresh and perfectly cooked and the beef was so flavourful. Everything married together so well! The mungbean pancake was also super crispy and the sauce that came with it complimented it perfectly. We also ordered the traditional bibimbap which was ok. I would definitely come back again to try their shrimp bibimbap. Service was also really quick! Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some delicious Korean food and especially bibimbap. Do order the eggplant bibimbap and the mungbean pancake!
I love dolsotbibimbap! And I am really fan of eggplant & guess what…. They have eggplant dolsotbibimbap! Wow! Amazing : it was so yummy and served on a tray just for you and I like it Definitely gonna revisit to try their cold noodle! Servers were very kind too! Thank you for the yummy food
We got Soy Shrimp and Spicy Squid Dolsot. Soy Shrimp came with 4 Raw Soy Sauce marinated Shrimps that were incredibly fresh and sweet, it also had Chili Pepper, Egg Yolk on a bed of Rice, though it could use more Soy Sauce, and the Shrimps weren’t deveined, but gosh it was still AWESOME! Spicy Squid Dolsot came loaded with Spicy Squid, it had Lettuce, Bean Sprout, Seaweed on a bed of Rice, served in a Hot Stone Pot, it was also super good! These meals also came with 3 Side Dishes Kimchi, Fish Cake and Salad and a hearty Seaweed Soup!
I tend to think that Toronto and GTA do not really have Korean restaurants that taste very good. This place changed my mind. It’s clean, servers are nice, food taste great. We ordered eggplant bibimbap , squid and bibim naengmyun . The latter two I think were okay, but really the food to try here is the bibimbap. It sizzles and the eggplant had great flavour. I’m usually not a big fan of eggplants, but I thought it tasted great. For those who want to try authentic Korean food, I suggest you try it out.
Was really craving for cold noodle. Decided to try new place because the picture looked nice here. And it really was good! I would come back to try the bibimbap as well. One downside tho, was the grilled meat we got as a combo. It tasted great but you could see the frozen meat was just heated, placed on hot plate and served. Not really pan fried. I would still give 5 stars for the quality of cold noodle tho.
This Korean restaurant basically only serves two types of classic Korean food: dolsot/bibimbap and cold noodles! We ordered beef bibimbap and spicy pork bibimbap, the taste was great and the food was fresh. In addition, this store is only open until 08:30, and after 08:30, it will be turned into a bar, which is a very creative and economical operation method. Will come again and recommend to friends;
