I enjoyed the experience. The oil shaped like a cow was cute. Their peach juice went well with the meal. The beef was good quality and the chicken wings were tasty as well.
A chain restaurant from China, sichuan style hotpot, if you like spicy food, here is the place to go! Better join their member so you got better price on everything, there is a annual fee for membership, but defiantly worth it. Parking available at both rear and basement, very convenient! Must try their meat combo, come with a nice ring stand, save a lot of space on the table.
The presentation was the best thing here. I might just be spoiled by other hot pot places but I found the service here not as attentive. After our food was placed on the table, we saw our server maybe one time. It was also our first time here, which I made known. There was no extra effort to help us out with the menu and such. The food was good. The sauce buffet was nice. The standout was the donut with shrimp paste. The resto was quite busy for a Sunday evening. For two people, our bill came to $150.
Full and happy!! The make-your-own sauce options is fully loaded and delicious. Servers checked on us regularly and it was nice to have the call button on the side too. The mild chili soup base was too hot for me to try and made the others sweat from their face! Their mild, is not what Canadians would consider mild at all, so I'm glad that I went with the mushroom soup base. Over all, it was a nice establishment with delicious food! My first Hot Pot experience was a success!
Was just okay. Kinda lost appetite after seeing a cart full of dirty dishes parked next to our table and a piece of hair in soy sauce at the salad bar... Price was not cheap for hotpot. For the price we paid, I expect a more hygienic environment at least ...
I loved this hot pot joint! I would give it 5 stars but the soup was just ok. We got the coconut herb one. But everything we ordered was super fresh and delicious. My favourite part is the sauce station. Made the experience even better. I can’t wait to come back
About $40 per person easy. Spicy level 1 is already spicy like jalapeño x2 spicy. While the service and ambience isn’t at par with say Dolar, we found their seafood portion more generous and the broth nicer. We will keep this option in mind next time we are in town.
Best place for hotpot hands down in Burnaby. Loved the spicy soup, was just the right amount of spicy. Beef and lamb were both great. 5/5 recommendRecommended dishesHot Pot
The best hotpot in Burnaby! The Liu’s beef and lamb platter was super awesome! Definitely have to give a try and the service was good! :D
We went on a Monday night, so it was pretty quiet and empty which we preferred. Since this was for a special occasion, we ordered more than usual. What we got for around $165 for 3 people: - 2 Soup Bases 34.95 = House Special Spicy Soup Base lvl 2 spicy, and Chicken & Coconut Soup Base - Lamb & Beef Platter 25.95 - Lamb Skewers 7.50 - Duck Blood 9.95 - Fried Chinese Doughnut with Shrimp Paste 9.95 - Seafood Platter 18.95 for Small - Vegetable Platter 15.95 - Handmade Noodles 3.95 - Fried Chinese Doughnut 4.95 - Housemade Plum Juice 8.95 per pitcher, fills ~4 glasses, not iced - 2 bowls Steamed Rice 2.90 - extra 11.85 for 3 people I think this is a mandatory fee for you to use the sauce and appetizer station My favourites were their coconut soup base, duck blood, Chinese doughnut with shrimp paste, and handmade noodles. The soup was light at first, but steadily became more flavourful as you add more ingredients, and I loved the coconut meat and chicken pieces already included. The Chinese doughnut did a wonderful job sucking up the broth soo well, and the duck blood was well seasoned and tasty. Finally, the noodles were chewy and felt fresh. In all honesty, the overall quality of ingredients were very average for the price we paid. Recommended to start with a less spicy soup base, as lvl 2 spicy was our limit this time While I would be open to coming back in the future, I would definitely try to order more strategically rather than splurge on expensive, flashy platters. Btw, this location seats 2-4 people per table comfortably, there's a small parking lot around the back on the left, and they have AC for those hot summer nights!
