Can’t say enough about the amazing staff on the Labour and Delivery floor. My husband and I recently spent a few nights here after the birth of our daughter, and can say that the entire experience was better than we ever could have imagined. Everything was thoroughly explained, care was genuine and dedicated, and in that time spent, the nurses and doctors really made it feel like home for us. We especially couldn’t have done it without the amazing Dr. Hamm driving the ship, the lovely anesthesiologist Dr. Tabl, the amazing nurses Stacey, Olivia, Kurtis and more.
The triage staff was very pleasant. The wait was quick and the nurse practitioner Curtis was the best nurse I have ever had for my daughters care. He was very caring, he did his research on my daughters medical records so he can investigate more into her problems. He has a great bedside manner . Very understanding and compassionate . The whole staff was great caring as well. I recommend this hospital. Thank You for caring for my daughter.
The worst hospital in Ontario. Spent 8-9 hours in hallway-Hallway medicine, No privacy. I was told no free beds but the same time people, men who arrived after me were given beds. The nurse said that the man did not breath that is why he was given bed, even though that man snored all time he was there and could be heard from any point of the hallway. No privacy when doctor attended me. They took blood twice, one sample that was taken at night was lost probably. At the end the doctor told that we do not treat patients with high blood pressure , even that was side effect from 2 d dose of Covid vaccine. They did not try to make my stay more comfortable - even they could , offer oxygen, or some hydration through IV. Ice pack I had to request, nobody had the idea that it could help. It was the hell and not the Hospital. I would not given even 1 star .
The review before this is 1star. I accidentally hit the wrong star. Sorry. Had bunion surgery yesterday and I my experience was wonderful from srart to finish. Every single person in came in contact with was friendly, helpful and professional. Thank you so much. Wish I could figure out how to cancel the other rating. Hopefully it didn't post
Had to go to the ER today, wait times were reasonable & fairly quick! The doctor was able to answer all my questions & help me out with my medical issue. Very impressed with this hospital&staff. I’d highly recommend this place to someone who needs medical attention.
I think these comments praising this hospital's ER were written by some dedicated staff. My experience, the nurses are rude, doctors lack bedside manner. The wait is long. The nurses stand there gossiping about other patients in front of patients. Spend more time socializing. I could go on & on about how awful this hospital is but I may as well sit in the ER waiting , even if near death, talking to myself . Thats the equivalent to their care and competence in that ER
Not good palliative care by the administration in this hospital. The nurses did the best they could for my dying mother but the administration decisions made her end of days difficult. This also made the families experience harder and more painful then it needed to be. Not a comfortable place to finish your life. Could be so much better if the care was given to the patent and not the care given to the cost of a persons life to the bottom dollar.
Despite being born here which is still the biggest punishment ive ever had my grandma was sent here after she hit her back in 2018. She hit the lower part of her back and all the doctors didn’t know what they were doing. They were all newbies, and despite hitting the LOWER part of her back they scanned the TOP part of her back and said nothings wrong. Eventually, she slowly became crippled. A month later, she was sent to Windsor and literal first day they immediately found the problem and the Windsor staff were baffled the people at Chatham didnt figure that out earlier. And because she had to wait a month to figure out whats wrong, she had a severe blood clot. To the point where she couldn’t walk for the rest of her life anymore. Unfortunately, she wont have to worry about that, because shes now dead. Seriously how does this happen? Who knows maybe the staff is better now, but I highly, highly doubt it. Do better.
Went to the ER early today with what we suspected to be a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. While the wait wasn’t as long as they said I did not in my mind get properly diagnosed by the nurse practitioner . She said it was just arthritis and to get physiotherapy and massage!!!!Not being happy that they wouldn’t even do an X-ray or ultrasound I travelled to Windsor to get a second opinion. The doctor I saw immediately said yep rotator cuff then he ordered both a n X-ray and ultrasound plus is referring me to a specialist
Have recently been back and forth to the hospital for numerous tests/scans, checking to see if my cancer had spread. I could not say enough nice things about the nurses and technicians, they were all so kind and caring. Ashley in pre-op was outstanding. Dr. Haddad is my surgeon and I have all the faith in the world in her. She has operated on me twice before, you see, so I know what to expect. I’ve often heard it said that once you are old, you are written off. Not the case at all, I turn 85 tomorrow, and I could not have had better care and attention. Thank you all very much and God Bless you Pat Waring nee Flain
