Dr. Leighton is very empathetic and knowledgable. I've been to other vets in the past who made me feel like I didn't have a choice in the treatment they decided on if I was a "good" pet owner - but that was not my experience here! Dr. Leighton was able to educate me on our options and help me make the right choices for my fuzzy friend. I highly recommend!
Excellent staff and vets. When we moved into the area and started looking for a new vet, we loved the reviews we saw for Central Vet. I’m so happy that our experiences at the clinic so far have more then lived up to those reviews. Very thorough exams on the animals, and they take the time to ensure they ask all the pertinent questions, as well as ensure your understanding on anything that presents in the appointment. The follow up calls for care is also a wonderful touch. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
After my vet in Calgary retired I reached out to Central Vet as one of my old classmates helps run the clinic. I make the trek from Calgary to Ponoka and Bashaw gladly for the phenomenal service I receive. After providing care for my rescue boy for the past couple years, he passed in a no stress comfortable environment after hours. Thank you, I will always entrust the health of my fur souls in you.
Have always taken great care of our large breed dogs, especially when we had to say goodbye to our Lilly. We have never felt we are being “unsold” and that it’s our dogs’ best interests in mind. Each vet we have dealt with are compassionate, caring, and educated
During what is undoubtedly the worst aspect of pet ownership, and after a mighty battle with kidney and liver failure our cat of 14yrs passed from this earth today. Assisted by the wonderful staff at Central Veterinary Clinic the procedure was a peaceful end to a life well lived. Dr Leighton was professional and thorough, but also gentle with us and kind being sure to answer all of our questions and even sat with us at the end. Thank you.
Very happy with the care and treatment provided by all staff while my beloved senior cat was ill. Everyone was helpful when I called in at times of uncertainty. Keep up the good work .
The most caring staff and vetrenarians I could ever ask for!! We have had 3 very complicated Cocker Spaniels over the years who have always been treated with such compassion!! I am so grateful to have this amazing clinic in our town!!
What a joke, their turnover for Veterinarians is horrible - I've visited 3 times with two vet. techs that both left. Had to put up with an emergency cancellation on their part, a vet checkup that didn't even include a Veterinarian I got an assistant with no knowledge, but still got charged full amount, waiting an hour for someone to tell me test results, and now they aren't honoring my pets annual prescription at another clinic.
Very nice staff, new building highly recommended stat of the art equipment for all types of animals. They also have a vast majority of different types of animal feed there as well and equipment like leashes, collars, horse stuff. The building itself is brand new with renovation sand easy to find.
The love of my life swallowed a rubber ball. Central got me in within an hour and surgery was done within a few hours. They provided me with a quote and when I paid the amount was actually under the quote, which is rare as past experiences have demonstrated you are more likely to be overcharged. They were honest, professional, and courteous. My boy will only be going to this veterinary service. Thanks again Central!
