Highly recommend. As someone that’s been to their fair share of veterinary clinics and hospitals they did well on all fronts. I travelled from Calgary to see Dr Keys based off his dual board certification and outstanding reviews. Their reception team had all of my pets documents, insurance information, well informed me of the costs and processes. All staff members were friendly, inviting, and efficient. A consultation with Dr Keys is more than getting his opinion, but getting a small informative engaging class/discussion about your pets presenting concern, and happy to answer all questions, let you know what’s realistic and what’s not, and make the load of information easy to understand. Easily the best hundred bucks I spent all weekend. Thank you Dr Keys and all of your team !
Went here during an emergency with our new kitten. The staff did everything they could for us, they went above and beyond. They not only took care of her but also made sure we were okay during the crisis. My partner and I will always be grateful to them.
Had a few hesitations about coming here, but I’m very thankful I did. Dr. Keys is a fantastic surgeon and took the time to explain every stage of my pets surgery and his rationale for his recommendations. Having that comfort and peace of mind when going through the stress of having your pet go into surgery is a great relief. And a big thank you to all the vet techs who assisted in every stage and kept my fur-child and her overly anxious person as comfortable as possible.
I have a collection of pets that I've brought here over a 10 year span and I've always been so pleased and touched by the care they received. A special thank you to Dr. Dixon that saw my childhood pet her entire life, right until the end. Dr. Dixon is amazing at everything she does, and you can tell she cares deeply about her patients. Her excellent care over the years has inspired my own interest in veterinary care. I hope to be an amazing caring vet, like the ones in this clinic someday.
Our dog had to stay for a few nights. we were charged 39.50 to visit our dog. The final bill was higher than most people would be able to afford. I know it's higher than other places charge. The staff made inappropriate remarks and asked inappropriate questions while we were there visiting our dog. I would go back if I had no other choice. The vet was good.
Super confused with this place, I had never been here before until my small dog was severely attacked, after giving him off to the receptionist It’s been nearly three hours and I haven’t heard anything about him, had one update or one person come to tell me how he is, when I ask they say they are checking his vitals.. for three hours ?? I’ve seen multiple other people come and leave since I’ve arrived with my dog, my dog also has another pre-existing health condition you would think that they would want to have him checked out quickly for. For a person whose never been here before it was a confusing process and little to no guidance.
All staff there were exceptionally professional except a support staff named Amanda. She was extremely rude, snarky and condescending. Her behaviour made a bad situation worse and tainted our experience with your practice. When I asked for her first and last name so I could phone and follow up later to express concerns, I was told that information is private. When I confronted the employee directly about her behavior, she dismissed our concerns due to the difficult situation we were facing, denied any accountability and continued the same behavior. I would encourage that you either provide her some diplomacy training and further supervised practice, finding her a position that is not customer facing or consider replacing her. Her interaction with customers is damaging to your practice.
Above and beyond. Ever single employee here is extremely compassionate and friendly. We unfortunately had to put our four month old puppy down die to some major health issues. It was a very hard time for us. They treated my puppy and myself with the most care, respect and compassion possible. Needless to say this will be the only vet clinic I ever go to!! Thank you so much again ladies. It was a pleasure to meet you all even under such a devastating moment.
The care and compassion for animals and their humans is so much more than stars. The doctors, reception, emergency and most especially Vicky are exceptional. They are the best thing you can do for your pet Update 2-23 the planned upgrades are exciting! Hydrotherapy - wow I also learned that on top of all the things that make them excellent, the surgeon is board certified and they have a chiropractor.
My Dogs screaming began at 8:37 At 8:38 I called Cederwood to let them know we were coming and that my dog was screaming I’m sure they could hear over the phone. When I arrived there was no sense of urgency whatsoever. They did not know who I was even though I literally had just called. Zeus was escorted to the back and I was escorted to a room where I sat and listened to him scream for 45 minutes before anyone came to see me. At this point Dr. Bruce was still not convinced Zeus was in “actual” pain. I assured her that Zeus is not a dramatic husky. Throughout the course of the evening, Dr Bruce mentioned her prejudice against the husky breed approximately five times. At was at this point that she decided to give him some pain meds. I thought she would have already administered some and was horrified that he had not been treated or comforted in any way yet just poked and prodded while he screamed. After the strong pain meds she gave him wore off very quickly, Dr Bruce was still not convinced it was “real” pain. “Has he been eating?” No “Has he pooped” No. Not that I can be sure of. He’s been throwing up for days. Something is wrong. “Okay well I can’t find any specific points of pain so makes me wonder if it’s really pain” She sent me home, was going to send him home with me but thought that I might not want to listen to screaming all night. I didn’t come in to make him stop screaming I came in to save his life. After signing him in for the night she again encouraged me to go home and rest. When the night time vet arrived he knew immediately something was wrong and assessed the situation completely differently. He took it seriously. I had just walked in my front door when he called me and told me Zeus was declining rapidly and to head back to the clinic. By the time I arrived I had only ten minutes to decide between euthanizing my dog, or spending potentially up to $5000 on a surgery to save him. And he would only have a 50% at life. I decided to allow the vets to do everything they could to try to save him. Unfortunately, after 4 HOURS at an emergency Veteranary hospital, it was too late. He died before they could operate. And he spent the last four hours of his life in utter excruciating pain. A reasonably competent vet would not have watched a dog scream for hours and label it as “potential drama” because huskies are “dramatic” which was reiterated to me over and over throughout the evening by Dr. Bruce. I have always had good experiences at this hospital, they have saved dogs. They have always been kind and reasonable. Dr. Graham was wonderful Dr. Monica Bruce should be investigated and I would recommend asking for literally any other vet at this clinic. My experience and my poor poor puppy’s experience with her was horrific and unnecessary.
