I started grade 10 in September and it’s been a good experience. When I came here I thought I would struggle to get some friends since I came from a completely different school than everyone else but I would say I made some friends and all the teachers I’ve had are good. It would be a 5 but Ive heard from other reviews that there’s some mean teachers which worries me that I’ll end up with them and I feel like the school is quite small for 1700+ kids. I broke my leg and had to walk around using crutches in small hallways and I thought I would get knocked over which worried me.
Centennial High School has been an unparalleled journey of growth, enlightenment, and sheer excellence over the past three years. Let me start by saying, if there's a pinnacle of academic and personal development, Centennial High School is undoubtedly it!nnFrom day one, Centennial exuded an atmosphere of ambition and achievement. The faculty and staff are not just educators, they are mentors, motivators, and champions of student success. Their dedication to nurturing every individual's potential is nothing short of remarkable. They go above and beyond to ensure that each student receives the support they need to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.nnThe curriculum at Centennial is not just about academics; it's about fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a thirst for knowledge that transcends the classroom. The range of courses offered caters to diverse interests and passions, ensuring that every student finds their niche and excels in it. Whether it's STEM, humanities, arts, or athletics, Centennial provides ample opportunities for students to explore, excel, and lead.nnBut what truly sets Centennial apart is its vibrant and inclusive community. It's a place where diversity is celebrated, and differences are embraced. The sense of camaraderie among students is palpable, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and accepted. Centennial isn't just a school; it's a family—a family that supports, uplifts, and inspires each other to reach new heights.nnAnd let's not forget the countless extracurricular activities and clubs that abound at Centennial. Whether you're passionate about debate, robotics, music, or sports, there's something for everyone to get involved in and make a meaningful impact. These experiences not only enrich student life but also instill invaluable leadership skills, teamwork, and resilience that will last a lifetime.nnReflecting on my three years at Centennial, I am filled with gratitude and pride. Gratitude for the exceptional education, guidance, and opportunities I have received. Pride in being part of a community that consistently raises the bar and sets the standard for excellence.nnIn conclusion, if you're looking for a school that not only educates but empowers, inspires, and transforms, look no further than Centennial High School. It's more than just a school; it's a beacon of hope, a gateway to success, and a home away from home. Thank you, Centennial, for an unforgettable journey that has prepared me not just for college, but for life.
Reflecting on my time at Cent always makes me smile and feel so grateful for the three years I spent there.nnI wasn’t very studious but teachers were willing to help me where needed. And being able to experience classes unique to Cent at the time such as the foods program and Pre Engineering was a real joy. Also a major highlight for me was gym, throughout all three years getting introduced to niche sports and the sense of community harboured in the class were just two of the many aspects of the class I thoroughly enjoyed.nnMy most treasured memories from Highschool, however, was my time spent with the Lads. What started as a group chat from a Social Studies class turned into a group of life long friends. Although we all parted ways after our time at Cent we kept in touch and would moss everytime were all back in Calgary. This past summer 6 years later all of the boys came out to my wedding and I couldn’t imagine it without them there. These guys are the best and I am so grateful to have formed such deep, long lasting friendship originating at Cent.nnThank you Centennial Highschool for such a great three years, new opportunities, and fostering an environment for friendships to thrive.nnP.S. just wanted to add as well KVL pulled me out of one of my classes one time as she needed to collect a form from me to allow travel for a band field trip. I did not have it signed I was a repeat offender and didn’t have forms signed all the time. She knew this and told me right there that I “had to get my sh*t together” and at the time I was very taken aback by this but honestly was a huge turning point for me and I realized that she was right. So if you’re reading this KVL, thanks for telling me the tough truth here.
All assistant principals are so trash, they don't respect you at all, also pretty much all teachers are bad, mr Buracas, mr Sawchuck mr. Billings, AP ms hannah and others are terrible too Although the school is trash i still respect the goats mr. Ostrander the legend, mr Tomlin the homie
I love this school so much it has actually made me want a future! Some of the teachers are kinda strict but other wise it’s really fun school. There are some people who are not nice but that’s normal with public schools. I highly recommend this school!
