Castle Rock Resort-Campground

My husband and I reserved a primitive tent site it costed us $35 a night. You had to spend $3 for the boat launch even though we were staying there. The site was nice in itself. They had a laundry room,free showers, and clean bathrooms. But I believe we were way over charged. Even for a Holiday weekend. Also down the road there were music party's they played all the way till 3am. You won't get any sleep.

While it was a nice area and a great opportunity to explore nature in Wisconsin, the resort itself left something be desired. They don't even provide towels. You must bring your own. Upon arriving to our cabin, I found a receipt from a previous renter's visit in one the night stand drawers. There was a toothpaste cap stuck in the drain from a previous renter. Attention to detail from the staff seems to be a bit lacking.The mattresses were stiff and hard as rocks in the bedrooms, and the sleeper sofa in the living room was actually a tiny bit more comfortable. We found a yellow jacket nest between the window panes of one of the windows in the cabin we stayed in. The shower was a joke. I can't imagine a larger person would have even been able to fit in it. There were not class instructions on how to check out.
