Wells Lakeside Cottages

Very nice staff. Attentive to your needs. Firewood is free. Dock space for your boat. Cabins have everything you need, but are not fancy. They are clean and insect and rodent free. We had a family of 5 in a two bedroom. They supplied a stow a way bed for the extra kid. I would consider this again.

I called a few days in advance and Steve said he didn't have a pontoon available for rent as they were all booked up. He asked if I wanted to be put on a waiting list and thankfully a person didn't show up so I was able to get a boat for half the day! We didn't catch much fishing but being able to get the boat and have some fun on the lake was great. He let my dog come on the boat and didn't charge extra for her as long as I cleaned up after her. She didn't do anything on the boat except lay down the entire time and drank a lot of water lol But I had a roll of paper towels ready in case the dog did make a mess. The boat was older but it was perfect for what we wanted to do. Plenty of room where my daughter, brother, the dog, and I weren't tripping over each other or getting our lines tangled up. My only complaint was the fish finder was not working properly. I didn't care about the finding aspects of it, but it would have been great to know the depth so I didn't mess up the motor. I did not mess anything up!! I texted him as soon as I noticed. I will definitely rent from Wells Lakeside Cottages again. Steve was a really nice person to do business with.

Rented a pontoon last summer for a bachelorette party, and even with our dates changing because of Covid- they were super accommodating. Very kind and easy to rent from. Would recommend 100%! Forgot to post this right away in 2020, but a family friend has asked where we went for our rental boat and remembered how smooth everything went.

Rented a pontoon from here twice, never stayed over. Pontoons were fun! The owners are friendly and helpful! Decent prices and the location is pretty good too. I plan on getting pontoons from here fairly often!

My family enjoyed vacation here. We rented 3 cabins from July 21 July 28, 2018. The owners are very sweet. If your expecting the Hilton, you're going to be disappointed. The cabins are out dated and they don't have tv's or wifi. We also rented a pontoon, which was also out dated. Our entire family of 10 usually more love to fish and we fished every day. We fished off the dock and never caught 1 fish. But we did catch fish off the bank and while we were out on the pontoon. We caught enough fish to have a fish fry one night while we were there and even took enough home to have another fish fry. However, the fishing was not very good. But we still had a great time! Afterall, there's nothing better than spending time with your family!

The lakeside cottages are great, however they should think about updating some of the amenities. Overall great, rustic feel. It's what I expect from a place like this. Do not go into this place thinking your going to get the best beds, pillows and such. Thats not what a place like this offers. You have a good view of the water that is easily accessible by boat and good roof over your head.

We rented a boat, give it back 2 hours before which was paid and wanted to seat on a beach, but the owner came to us and forced us in a very rude way to leave the area, because we are not renting anything else anymore. It was our first and last time, we won't rent the cottages or boats from them anymore. I am not surprised that boats and cottages are not rented during a busy and sunny weekend.

1950's revisited, fun, relaxing, great Nature scenery. 4 star because of price, but wouldn't keep us away.

We just returned from a week at Wells Lakeside Cottages with bedbug bites. We also paid top dollar for a pontoon boat with ripped and torn vinyl everywhere as well as moss and mildew on carpeting. The lake sight was beautiful but the actual facilities were disgusting. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
