Great service and experience, if you are going during peak lunch hours, it is better to reserve ahead of time via phone. Great lunch menu, prices were a bit expensive relative to the portion size, but the flavours were great. Oysters seemed a bit small but were still flavourful. The prawn ceviche and the Aloette burger are definitely a must have when visiting. The crispy squash was surprisingly sweet and served as a great end part to the meal even though it was not dessert specific dish.
One of the best spots I have tried in Toronto. Their burger was super flavorful. The complimentary toast was delicious. The stuff wings were very delicious but I wish it was a little more crispy. Their fries were also amazing. But the chocolate tart was the winner tonight definitely one of the best desserts ever. Super decadent and melt in your mouth rich. Service was great. Fastest water refill ever not once my glass went more than half empty. Definitely recommend this place very nice atmosphere and amazing creative dishes. It's a little on the pricey side but worth the quality and creativity in my opinion.
We really enjoyed the food here. The Oysters were really quite great, I recommend to start with it if you like them. The Burrata was fantastic with its pistachios and olives. The rack of lamb had this smoked eggplant sauce which was absolutely magnificent. And the absolute best dish was the stuffed morel mushroom. It was also topped with crispy chicken skin which was a nice touch. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The prices are on the medium high side.
I'll be honest, the first time I tried out Aloette, I was not really impressed. Not aware of the dining experience, I was lost with the menu, thinking that the dish I ordered would have been enough to fill me - but that was not the case. Seemed like the service was rushed, and they wanted me out of the restaurant to accommodate the reservations... Needless to say, I decided to try Aloette again, and I was pleasantly surprised. Andrew M explained how the menu worked, stating that the dishes are to be shared, like a family style meal. This time, we ordered more dishes, and it was quite delicious. We ordered the Wedge Salad, Skate, and Short Rib. All dishes were satisfying, the crunch in the Wedge Salad was on point, the buttery flavour exuded out of the Skate, and the Short Rib was juicy. Glad that I tried the restaurant again, now that I understand how the menu works. Many thanks to Andrew M, who provided excellent service throughout dinner!
I would give this 10 stars if I could. The service was immaculate, every dish was next level insanely good. The complimentary bread melts in your mouth. The wedge salad will have you looking at iceberg lettuce in a whole new light. The perfect balance of flavours in every dish delights the palate. One of my top restaurant experiences of all time.
We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The staff, especially Natalie, were super friendly, helpful and informative. I highly recommend the iceberg wedge salad, which was crunchy, flavorful and made to perfection - we did make a mess trying to split the salad, but it’s well worth the effort.
Fantastic food, a truly amazing culinary journey. Of particular note is the complimentary cheese bread which was unbelievably good. The burger also was superbly balanced. Price is high of course, and service left more than to be desired with a distinctly aloof attitude by some of the staff which tarnished the experience somewhat. Would definitely return regardless.
Came here for dinner and had relatively high expectations for this well-known popular spot. Definitely get reservations as it’s a pretty small spot and very popular. There’s roughly 6 tables with about 10 spots at the bar for seating treated as tables. They have roughly 1 server per two tables so service is very quick. Our server made sure water was always filled and they made sure they explained each dish. If you’ve never been here before, dishes are made more for sharing and they recommend 4-6 dishes for parties of 2. So expect to pay roughly $100+ for 2 people assuming you also get drinks. Most of the dishes were underwhelming in my opinion. The ones I liked the best were the ravioli and the beef tartare. The lemon meringue pie was way too sweet for me, which was disappointing considering how nice it looked. I wouldn’t be completely opposed to coming again but wouldn’t be dying to come here again.
We went for dinner on a random Wednesday, made a reservation last minute and was able to secure seats at the bar. The space is pretty small, would highly recommend to make reservations in advance. Our server was amazing, he was very attentive and friendly. The food was just okay in my opinion. The burrata was delicious, but the other dishes missed the mark. The burger was a little bit heavy for my taste and the fries were overcooked. Would come back for drinks as the ambiance was nice but not for the food.
Amazing dinner. Amazing service. We had four dishes including the stuffed chicken wings, wedge salad, cavaletti and grilled short rib. The wedge salad was the star of the show for sure… so savoury and fresh. The cocktails are also phenomenal; loved the old fashioned. I was impressed overall but for more expensive then expected hence why it is 4 instead of 5 stars.
