Tacos 101

Pretty good taco place. There usually aren't any lines. Everything is made fresh to order and it seems pretty authentic. The wall has a cool luchador mural with bar seating on either side. It's really hot inside; there's no AC but they have fans. The best thing at this place is Fruta Libre. The fruit cups are so good. I like mixed fruit but they're all good. I always come here for tacos and then fruit cups after.

I just had the best fish tacos ever! In Kensington Market, Toronto, sits Tacos 101, a 8ft wide but very deep Mexican restaraunt. There are only a few stools at a narrow bar along the wall, to sit and eat, but the decorations and atmosphere make it a unique place to eat. As you can see from the menu board there aren’t a lot of choices, but the two gentlemen at the grill, behind the counter, are friendly and helpful. and the food…..incredible flavour at a reasonable price! Try them out, you won’t regret it.

Such an awesome spot for mango agua fresca and pescado tacos and chicken taquitos! Truly the best!! Awesome service and the food is always very fresh and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. I will continue to be a regular here! :Food: 5/5

Some of the best tacos in the city! Authentic, reasonably priced, and packed with flavour! The Al Pastor and Pollo Adabado were incredible and definitely the best from what we tried. Both were seasoned and cooked to perfection, with the Al pastor having semi charred/crispy edges and the pollo being incredibly tender and juicy. Ingredients were fresh, good quality, and service friendly. Definitely a great spot take some tacos for a walk around Kensington.

Their birria tacos are good! It is not too oily and the dipping juice is rich with favours. The mango cup is also worth it with big chunks enough for 2 people to share

Dude! Tacos 101 is my go to spot for authentic chicken taquitos! They do it right every time. The cup holder with guacamole, salsa and Mexican cheese is the perfect combination. I washed it down with a fresh Jamaica juice When I’m missing my hometown Los Angeles taco stands or trucks I make a dash to Kensington Market. Viva Taco 101!

Great tacos and even better elotes and esquites. We ordered carnitas and nopales tacos and they were delicious, well served, with 2 tortillas each. The horchata was good and made from scratch not syrup. The esquites and elotes taste just like in Mexico or better. The tamales are tasty too and looked like gourmet ones.

Kensington & all the other stores makes it so fun to walk around the area. Tacos 101 and Fruta Libre is definitely one that I would visit no matter how full I am with the rest of the food I already ate around the block. I got the Al Pastor Pork & Carnitas. For dessert, Mango in a Cup with Tajin & Chamoy! I was very indecisive but they were helpful when it comes to making decisions and good recommendations! Very nice workers as well, accommodating and the authenticity.

Amazing and Authentic taste. Small place with few benches to dine in. I ordered chicken, beef and fish tacos and were all good and yummy. Must try mango with spices. Feel little on expensive side but food and service was fantastic.
