We LOVE Carlos River Cafe! Delicious food and fast service. Pro tip—their breakfast entrees are delicious but it’s BYOC—Bring Your Own Coffee. Prices are low! We come for the food and we stay for the decor and cheerful service! Enjoy the authentic Mexican music and immersive ambiance! They make their own chips and three salsa. Go here, eat, and be happy.

Horrible treatment. Ordered tacos 6 tacos, only got five, so they whipped one up in front of us, come to find out, all the other tacos were made wrong. How hard is it to dress up a taco with cilantro and onion. Tried calling back, got hung up on twice, went there, told me I was wrong that I changed my order, which I don't think I've ever ordered anything else but steak tacos with cilantro and onion... Needless to say, this was our spot, and well never be back ever again. The little woman inside was so rude and disrespectful, sad we even left her a tip after she messed up twice in front of us.

Nice little Cafe style restaurant. Food tasted great. Service was good. Next time I'm trying out other dishes. A gem in crystal lake.

Love the food! Always have.. today I ordered extra guacamole what I got was a bunch of tomatoes with onions... Maybe a bit of avocado, not much to taste but it was green.nAt this time . Don't order extra! It was better before

I enjoy their Al Pastor tacos and Chimichanga. Not impressed with the beans or guacamole. The guacamole was missing salt and lime. I had to fix it when I got home. My wife enjoys their tamales.
