Windhill is a unique restaurant with an extensive menu to suit everyone's dining needs. The decor is traditional Victorian and we decorate for major holidays. We offer weekday breakfast specials and nightly staple dinner specials. We do offer limited gluten-free items.

What a nice place to go with family or friends for a nice meal. Their menu is very extensive with many selections it goes on & on!. We were there at brunch/lunch time, and there were a lot of Specials to choose from. The prices were good. I just loved the fun decorations all over the place; it was decorated for Easter I’ve heard their other 2 HUGE decorating holidays are Halloween and Christmas/Hanukkah. And yes, the food was ALL delicious!
Cozy little place, server was friendly. Menus are old kids story books.. with the book still there to read! Loved that..Food was good, we'll definitely be back.. this is a place you need to stop. They sure decorate for Halloween, can't wait to see what they do for Christmas!Food: 4/5
We finally tried Windhill Pancake Parlor for a late breakfast the other day! First of all, I must say it is super cute in there. Their menus are actually hardcover childrens books that the pages have been replaced with menu pages, kind of cute! They have a good challenge…we love these, a 12 egg super stuffed omelette, for only $30 unless you finish it in an hour! I included the picture of it! I would love to see it and someone attempt it! We went at an off time so they weren’t super busy, but the food others were eating looked delicious! Our server was fun, friendly and fast, I didn’t get his name, but he was great! Food was phenomenal! Large portions! Everything came out HOT! We started with the million dollar bacon a sweet and spicy bacon, so good, but it was definitely spicy! I had the country fried steak with the gravy on the side, gravy was delicious, steak was actually a chopped steak, hand breaded and fried, not a frozen patty, Hash browns came out perfect & they have homemade white bread…oh my yum! Daughter had the biscuit and gravy omelette, it was huge! It actually had biscuits and cheese on the inside and was smothered with gravy! She did say it was good, but the biscuits inside were a bit sweet. They have lots of fun on letters and dishes to try, so we will definitely be back! They are a little on the pricey side, but really…who isn’t nowadays, overall I think it was worth it!

Service was amazing and the food was incredible. I custom ordered a skillet to make it a "cheese mess". I can't wait to try more of the menu and I'll be coming back as often as possible!!Dine in: Yes
so i went to this place with my family and i have come here before and i really liked it but this time our server was extremely rude. asked for no ice in water and she served iced water. i could clearly see that she was nice to other customers but not my family.. she was giving racist in addition we told her that the pancakes were literally raw and she didn’t even say anything only said “oh okay” I understand that it gets busy and there’s a lot of stress but that is not an excuse for such vile behavior. the least she could do was apologize and just acknowledge the fact that the pancakes were raw. i hope she finds god. i attached the pic of the raw pancakes i wonder if she would want her kids to eat that amazing battery raw peach pancakes
Cozy atmosphere! Good food. Very friendly staff. Each holiday there are wonderful decorations floor to ceiling. Not just for breakfast. Very good food for lunch and dinner.
First time to eat here and it was very fun! We were glad to be seated at the train counter. Tasty food and pleasant people. Really great for all ages, kids will love the train delivering their food! We had our halloween breakfast at noon,lol

Came in on a busy Saturday morning for breakfast, a group of 6. We were sat almost immediately by an amazing host who was super friendly. The service was quick and everyone had a smile on their face. We received our food fast and it was great! We are out of town’ers who will be back. Great little spot in McHenry!
