Hickory Pit

Coming from Texas, it is hard to find a good BBQ place around here to compare. Hickory Pit was really good- I had the pick two meat (pulled pork and sliced brisket). Meat had a good smoky flavor and they had a wide variety of sauce choices. I think the prices are a little high, but I would definitely come back here again!

This place is good. A rack of ribs for just over twenty dollars might sound to good to be true. This place is for BBQ lovers. My rack of ribs had a great smoke ring but not over smoked. One more thing that I judge harshly, cleanliness. Wow super clean.

I absolutely love this place, I was so sad when dons dairy frost went away, but this place is so good that it makes up for it! The cow pig burger is absolutely amazing I crave it constantly 😂😂, and all of the sauces are so good too, the experience I have had with staff members have been positive, and the restaurant itself is nicely decorated.. look forward to going back!

Great bbq at reasonable prices. Not crowded inside and fast service. Our new go-to place for bbq in McHenry.

Prices were a little on the higher side, so we were expecting great ribs & brisket (always happy to pay more for food that I'll want to add to my "must to again list". Food was mediocre, sides also, so we were disappointed.
