Story

Every family has their own special traditions, whether it is Sunday night dinners, a secret recipe or the kids setting the table while their mother cooks dinner. These family traditions are something to be celebrated.

Cucina Rosa owner Chef Sal Salvanelli, wants to share his family traditions with his community through his family's recipes.

Cucina Rosa is a celebration of Sal's late mother, Rosa, and her love for food and traditional Italian cuisine, hence the name of his restaurant which translates to "Rosa's Kitchen."

With a welcoming and intimate atmosphere, Cuchina Rosa invites you to share the fondest memories of growing up with a family from Naples over an amazing meal.

Great memories were made during family meals while Sal was growing up, and he takes pride in sharing these moments with his own family, and now with you!

Nice little restaurant in the strip mall just north of Gary Lang. I ordered the build your own pasta with a penne pasta and vodka sauce and Sal’s Famous Meatballs, it literally could not have been any better. My fiancé had the salmon and really enjoyed it. The prices are a tad on the higher side but the amount of pasta I got will be enough for 3 meals! We will definitely be returning.

Waited a little longer then we wanted to for our food. But it was definitely worth the wait. The calamari was amazing and the lemon piccata is a true lemon taste that you just can't get enough of.

Lovely staff and excellent food with plentiful portions. My pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, not over cooked and mushy like so many places do. The house salad was fresh and crisp and made with Romaine lettuce, not iceberg so I really liked that too. They have all the classic Italian dishes in chicken, veal and seafood. Prices are reasonable and good wine list. It’s a gem in disguise in a storefront strip mall.

I was at your restaurant tonight with my family. I'm a retired chef and don't usually eat at restaurants. The food was excellent. I will recommend to others and I will return.
