The dark haired woman in the beauty area must have been having a bad day today. I have never been spoken to so rudely and condescendingly by a sales clerk in my life. I had a long list of items to purchase and after she ripped a strip off me, I unknowingly was doing something wrong but there are polite ways to correct people I had to leave. I didn't even feel comfortable being in the store after that.
I don’t give reviews often, but when I do it’s because it was well earned. Whether it’s a 1 or a 5 …. and this pharmacy certainly earned theirs.nnI’ve been trying to have my 83 yr old mother’s medication transferred to a Shoppers in the city. Three times they’ve prevented the transfer, saying there was a refill being processed - one that I hadn’t requested or known about. And that I’d have to pick that up first before they’d allow the city location to request the transfer. No problem, since I urgently needed my mom’s blood sugar test strips and lancers, the pharmacist was going to have that rushed for pickup for my inconvenience as well.nnI drove all the way to Sherwood Park, stood in line for 10-15 minutes to pickup said refill only to find out it wasn’t even ready, nor were the other products that were “rushed”nThe pharmacist who helped me on the phone wouldn’t even come to assist me the only male pharmacist working even though we made eye contact twice, he stayed behind the counter. They made me feel like I was a burden. I was asked to wait 10 minutes, which turned into 30 minutes.nAfter standing in line twice, I was blamed for requesting the medication to be filled when I should’ve waited. I DIDNT ASK FOR THE REFILL!!nOnce she realized they were blister packs, and that the refills are apparently automated, she didn’t offer an apology.nnFast forward a week, I drive all the way back to Sherwood Park to pickup the automated refill and informed them to stop any/all future refills as I was in the process of getting all medications transferred.nnToday two weeks later, I call the city Shoppers to finally have the transfer completed so that I can request new refills. Yet AGAIN, they’re unable to because the Sherwood Park location has refills to be picked up. I’m thinking this time it’s a mistake. Especially after I had them make a note on file NOT to process refills.nnWhen I phone them, I get the most rude, unprofessional pharmacist I’ve ever dealt with. She wouldn’t stop interrupting me, she was condescending and spoke to me like I’d just ruined her day. When I asked her to stop interrupting me since we can’t hear each other when both are speaking, she actually raised her voice to me and said “speak!” … I explained the situation and provided a little history only for her to say “are you finished speaking now?!”nnAfter playing the blame game for 5 minutes - where she blamed everything from English not being her first language, to it was the other pharmacist’s fault, to me calling the wrong store, to it was me requesting the refill all along… I had to hang up. I’ve never had such horrible experience with a pharmacist.nnMy only regret using this pharmacy was not getting their names. Particularly the last one I spoke to on the phone today. Her attitude needs to be corrected. Especially working in this industry where patients health is involved. Absolutely no accountability. No professionalism. No courtesy. And absolutely ZERO assistance.nDon’t trust your medical needs to this group of incompetent pharmacists.
Pharmacy is highly disappointing. The head pharmacist is not organized, and forgot to check the voicemail for a simple prescription request from a sports medicine doctor. Then she proceeds to make me wait 20 minutes while she fixes her mistake. Would not recommend.
I visited the store last night to buy some vitamins and had an incredibly disappointing experience.nThe customer service from an employee named “Kevin” was the worst I've ever encountered. When I approached him with questions, he deliberately ignored me and went to assist other customers in a different aisle.nWhen I went to him again and finally got his attention, he seemed extremely annoyed and distressed while answering my questions.nnDespite spending $100 on various items, I will never return to this branch. The lack of respect and basic customer service is unacceptable.
When I was at the cashier, I found out the item's advertised price was different from what their system is showing. I showed the cashier, he was told by the manager the price is online shopping only. I asked to speak to the manager. No where does it say on the website that their price is online only. The manager's attitude is she could careless. She reluctantly did the price adjustment. I don't think it's fair for a company to advertise one price and charge you another. If I already travelled to a store based on your advertised price, why would I inconvenient myself by make an online purchase with a shipping charge or more wait time. No wonder Loblaw is making record profit. I find this double pricing system shady and unethical. I think most Canadians would agree.
