This off leash dog park is very very small and unfortunately not very scenic with Anderson on one side and the off ramp to Macleod Trail at the end. There are two garbage bins at the entrances. Good if you want to have a very quick walk. Better suited for playing fetch. Not crowded at all - only one other dog was there!
Small and not fully contained. If your dog does not have a good recall then I would not suggest taking them to this park. It’s also rather noisy because it’s right next to Mcloed.
Park is not fully contained, the fencing along the busy road Anderson onto McLeod is not complete. My small JR ran right onto the ramp at the far end of the park the struggled to come back to me because the she was on the other side of the fence. This park is hazardous to both traffic and pets!!
The CITY took down the fencing at the east and west ends of this park allowing dogs access to the busy 6 lane Anderson Rd It's extremely dangerous I believe the city did thus intentionally and should be held accountable if any animals are hurt or killed. The west had a fence but the City took it down 2 weeks ago..
A HORRIBLE off leash area. You might get 200 yards to wallk, it's hilly, and worse --- both ends of the area open directly onto Anderson Road. Terrifying! A curious pup could easily accidentally wander onto the busy road.
I would rate this park 5 stars if it wad fenced off up by Anderson Drive. As it is, the open area allows your dogs to run onto a busy highway if you're not watching them close enough.
Warning to anyone walking their dogs here.. If your dog is untrained it is a bad idea to bring them to the right side end of the park.. It opens up to a Road way which is convenient when walking to the mall from the houses, but not so much when walking your dog. Also.. Along the fence line there's a couple of holes in the fence.
Really unsafe if your dog doesn't have good recall, not completely fenced so Anderson road is completely accessible. It's not usually busy but not sure why you'd want to take your dog off leash here
This off leash dog park is not to big but a descent size. Has a small area of trees and mostly field. Has garbage bins but now and then you will find some garbage and also watch your step because their might be some poop on the ground someone never picked up.
My dog and I have been here multiple times, and I've never seen another dog. So that could be a positive if you have an unfriendly buddy.
