I came for a tire swap and was informed I would need some cleaning around the brakes because they found rust. First they made me wait about 2 hours and near the end of that then they called me saying this was an issue. I agreed to the derusting and the lubing of the brakes after. I was charged for this.nUpon leaving my car was making a screeching noise, but I was informed the car may make noises and it’ll go away.nIt did not and they wanted me to pay 120 for a diagnostic. I said I was not doing that.nI went to another mechanic and he physically showed me that Canadian Tire Auto did absolute jack as nothing to my brakes. There is rust all over, there is no line whatsoever. Thanks for the scam. I urge anyone to not trust whenever they find “additional” problems because I’m sure half of them are made up and the other half they create more so you can come back. Shameful behaviour from Canadians.
Good place to get tool accessories, get vehicles ready for winter.nCar maintenance used to be a hassle worry free at Canadian Tire. Ever since Covid the garage maintenance staff have been struggling and it shows in their workmanship.nnI still shop there for quick Do it yourself repairs.nCustomer Service staff are changing and it’s making things easier to deal with exchange or return of defective or unused products.

Tires, vehicle parts and service.nnThey have a Canadian tire gas station in parking lot.nnThis particular location does feel more cramped and less vast as some other Canadian tires. As a result there are some items they may not have here in terms of variety that they have elsewhere.nnI bought Chevrolet Orange 1 coolant. Found it quickly.
I understand it’s a busy season and the staff have a lot to deal with, but it took us almost three weeks just to get a safety check. My dad doesn’t speak English, so I was helping with the calls. We were told multiple times that someone would call us back with an update, but we never received one. My dad went in person more than five times, and at one point they even lost our paperwork.nnI finally went in person with him, and they ended up having to redo everything from the beginning. You could tell the employees were overwhelmed and the whole system felt disorganized. I wasn’t upset at the individual staff because it seemed like they were dealing with a chaotic environment.nnI think the service department could benefit a lot from better organization and management so customers don’t have to go through all of this.
The lady at the parts counter was under paid for the service we received. My Daughter's 2023 Hyundai had a dead battery and thus was the reason for our vist. I was along for the support for she is a young lady and very shy. But the girl at the counter had her smiling within seconds, Next she saw the battery on counter and said so hun is this out of a car or truck. What make and year is it again with a hun, made my daughter smile and feel comfortable My daughter told her and the lady replied with.....OK hun they come in different cranking amps....If your not sure what I mean by cranking amps? And then she explained it all and what was actually needed for her car and not what most people actually want. Just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's the better deal. Long story short she sold my daughter one at a cheaper price with better amps 650 and a 4 yr warranty and roadside assistance. Thank you Canadian tire for hiring this true Canadian raised women.
