Bought a cabinet from them. Ended up being defective and was written on the box (didn't see before I left) doors did not open. I called and explained the situation to Barry and how I don't have a vehicle that can transport this cabinet easily. He offered a service to pick up the defective cabinet, offered a discount to exchange it due to time wasted and transport hassle. Ended up exchanging for a smaller cabinet that they gave me a discount on. Couldnt have handled it much better than it was! Very impressed.

This is specifically in regards to the parts department. I went to pick up a new battery for the car. I’m not mechanically inclined by any stretch but had done a bit of research beforehand. The service person (Brian M) was extremely helpful and answered my questions with confidence while providing guidance between the different types of batteries. There was no sales pressure to get the more expensive versions, he took his time to explain the warranty and gave me some installation tips. Once I returned with the old battery, he recognized me and asked if had any issues with the installation or anything else he could help with. This was really excellent service overall and I will definitely contnie shopping here.

I have no problem with the actual store. It's stocked, easy to find stuff, etc.

My problem is with the automotive service department. I was a GM Technician for years and also certified to do the Ontario Drive Clean test. I brought my car in today for a Drive Clean test. I was checked in at 240pm and told it would be about 45 minutes. I know this test takes a maximum of 30 minutes to do, most places take less. I got out of there at 420pm. Now I would understand that they are busy and maybe the tester was doing tires on a customers car. However when i read the test it was done at 314pm. So even with paperwork, taking the car out of the shop and parking it, closing the work order, etc i should have been gone by 4 at the latest.

Now when I get to my car I press the clutch and start to roll back, the park brake isn't on. Also my seat is out of position both by moving forward and the seat back sat straight up. I can understand moving the seat forward but there is no road test so why the seat back was moved is beyond me.

It is the first time I post a negative review but I had to do so because the service was below one star. Canadian Tire Barrhaven, Ottawa.
AVOID their body shop/tire facility. They are so so incompetent! Brought in my car to have new tires installed for the sake of warranty. I said what the heck.. lets do it. its just tire instalation.. Not only that it took them an hour extra but one of my rims came out peeled off, they damaged the rim lip on multiple places while prying out the old tire. If I could  only post pictures here to show you.. 
When talking to the shop manager, a guy named Kwak I rememeber, he told me straight in the face that they didnt do it, that it was like this. Such a lie ..  I have pictures to prove it. Rims were in pristine condition (OEM 18"). I am so fed up with this obnoxious attitude that I will avoid stepping into CT from now. Do the same, I am surprise how they are still in business with such a customer support approach and lousy unprofessional service.

Ok Canadian store. Many good sales, sometimes great prices for cookware and knives. Decent home and garden products. Nice and helpful staff. Not so great prices and quality for tools. The low number of stars is for the autoshop - is better to avoid it.
