Canadian Tire

Very big and spacious store with a lot of quality merchandise! The products can be more expensive here compared to other stores but they are normally great quality. The one thing I don't like is the only way to exit the store is to go out through the checkout line; so if it's busy and you want to leave without purchasing anything, you need to maneuver your way through a line of people checking out and there isn't that much extra space. Also compared to other Canadian Tire's in the city, this one does not have self checkout which is disappointing considering it's a fairly new location.

I love Canadian Tire, I spend way too much time here. For the most part I have had good experiences here and I have purchased items with AMAZING sales. There was one time when I took my car in to get winter tires installed. The service was very slow. They also tried to charge me for something that was already paid for. My boyfriend had booked and paid for everything but I dropped my car off and picked it up. Unfortunately my first thought was that they were trying to take advantage of me because I am a woman and perhaps they thought I didn’t know much about cars? Who knows. When I called for an update I was put on hold immediately. After being on hold for 15 minutes I decided to just drive there (I live in one of the surrounding communities). My car was not ready yet and it had already been over an hour after they initially said it would be ready. I walked around the store for a bit to kill some time which I was more than happy to do. There was some confusion when trying to “check out” and by the end of this experience I was very frustrated. My other experiences here have not been like that though and the cashiers have been very friendly.

This store is a giant! Wear comfortable shoes! Clean and tidy, could have had a few more staff on hand. In a lot of ways it's a typical Canadian Tire store in as far as the products that are carried and the layout. What I would say is that it's probably a better representation of the full line of products available from Canadian Tire in in general. The staff I did encounter were friendly and attentive, I just wish there been a few more of them in the department I was shopping. It is worth noting that they have a large hunting and fishing section that is open earlier in the day than the Cabelas down the road.

Overall the store has a good selection. The staff are okay from a knowledge perspective and service delivery. My main concern stems from the fact that the store makes it challenging for people with disabilities who require the use of mobility devices to get out of the store in the event they do not purchase anything. The cattle coral which the store has setup is not designed for the best accessibility nor are the opportunities to exist ideal. Suggest having staff review the current store setup and modify as needed so that all can enjoy.

The team at Canadian Tire service do a phenomenal job with my vehicle! I would refer Mike and Calvin to anyone as they really go above and beyond to make sure that the work is done right the first time around. Calvin treats all the vehicles as if they're his own, tests components to identify the source of the problem, and if there's anything you don't understand, he will take the time to explain it in a way that you will understand. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vehicle!
