Canadian Tire

Visited on May 15, 2024. The garden center is fully stocked and surprisingly full of a huge variety of well priced annuals and perennials. The vegetables multi-packs are super well priced compared with many other garden centres. The staff were super helpful and friendly even though my French language skills are not that great. The store was a pleasant surprise also. Bright, clean, well stocked and well staffed.

Extremely Disappointing Customer ServicennI had a very frustrating experience at this Canadian Tire location and feel compelled to share it.nnMy husband and I went to this store to exchange an item we had purchased at another Canadian Tire. We had the original receipt and had already selected the replacement item we wanted. When we approached the cash register to complete the exchange, the cashier immediately refused to process it and told us we had to return to the original store where the item was purchased.nnWhat made this situation unacceptable was not just the refusal, but the extremely rude and dismissive attitude of the employee. From the start, she showed no willingness to help, made no effort to explain alternative solutions, and acted as though assisting customers was an inconvenience.nnWhen we asked to speak with a manager, she claimed she was the manager and stated she would not accept the exchange. Given her attitude and lack of professionalism, this already felt questionable.nnWe left and went to another nearby Canadian Tire location also not the original store, where we were treated respectfully and the exchange was completed without any issue at all. This clearly shows that the refusal at the first store was unnecessary and inconsistent with Canadian Tire’s policies.nnTo make matters worse, when I later called the first store to get the name of the “manager” for feedback purposes, I was informed that no manager matching her description works there. This leads me to believe the employee falsely claimed to be a manager, which is extremely concerning.nnThis experience reflects very poorly on this location. Customer service should be helpful, honest, and respectful! none of which were present during our visit. I strongly recommend that management address staff training and accountability at this store.nnI will be avoiding this location in the future and encourage others to do the same.

Unprofessional customer service, from this manager called Nicholas, I was at the counter paying for an item a Dewalt battery that seemed to be priced at a higher pricenFrom what it was priced at the shelf. I asked the lady to kindly check the price if it’s correct or not. I could’ve taken a different battery that is cheaper, she asked me to come with her to the shelf. The person named Nicholas asked to come tomorrow since the store is now closed which is ridiculous! His reason that there’s no one inside they are closed. I literally looked at this guy Nicholas what do you mean, no one is inside. What are you doing here?! I ended up returning the item cz i don’t wanna make a scene. I’m never gonna shop at Canadian tire moving forward, you guys don’t want my money sure. And if Nicholas wants to go home that bad maybe dear Canadian give this poor man an early shift.

I cannot understand why when we go there during open hours the service for propane is not always open or opens later like today. I got there at 9:30am and I am told it only opens at 10:00am so I leave and go over to Tim Hortons to pick up a coffee and come back as the Tim’s is close by. I finally pay for the service at 9:54am and I am told look for the black car once parked next to mine out there he has arrived. Well it is now 10:05am and no car or service persons still here providing the service I already paid for. Worst off we are now 3 customers waiting out here of which 2 have already paid upfront. We are not 3 customers having paid and still no one in site to service us. Now 10:10am and the person has not arrived yet for his shift and the counter clerk tells me he is at the stop sign up the street on his way. When someone is supposed to start at 10am it is not acceptable to be this late customers need to serviced on time. I asked the clerk if he can call someone from inside and he said BLUNTLY NO! He just arrived with his Volvo and we are now 4 customers in line.

An absurd service I have experienced today in this location, where the manager refused returning my item where she claimed that my item is used, and her suggestion was to go to my buying location to reimburse it, as she was sending me to a different company, I mentioned that the item is a ramp and I put it on the floor but never used, she showed me the stoppers at the bottom was dusty !!!!nnThis is not a clothing store where I would use a ramp and bring it back, even though if I do that it should be the problem, anyways that was not my case at all, see the photos of my ramp that she refused to return with a rude attitude , she seemed like she was not enjoying her job at all, by setting me options as “You cannot return this and your only option is to go to the same location that you bought “ where as on the cavendish location I asked if I can return at Laval location they said okay.nnFind the photos of the ramp and you judge my frustration.
