Cafe Landwer

The price for foods in this restaurant is high. I am upset from the service that I received from the waitress. I ordered gluten free bread and it took them 35 minutes to bring my break fast. The break compared to the break fast was very small so I asked for another bread and they charged me $1.50 plus tax. It tool them 15 minutes to bring the second bread and my breakfast was completely cold by that time. I asked him to warm it up and he said sorry I cant do it. I told him it took you 15 minutes to bring me bread he said yeah what can I do I am just a waiter!!!!. The owner of this cafe/restaurant should teach his employees to have better customer service.

The decor, customer service and drinks, especially the Italian French vanilla and the fresh juices were excellent. The dessert was great as well- we had the vanilla cheesecake, it was light and creamy with an extra crumb layer on top. I would only come back for coffee and dessert. The food itself was extremely bland and tasteless. We had two sandwiches and I would not get them again. The chicken guac sandwich was falling apart, the chicken was kind of cold and the bread was hard. The grilled sandwich was okay but again bland and lacking flavour. The couple sitting next to us also sent their food back, We were not impressed.

A great weekend spot but very slow to get a larger table. Arrive early and be patient. The vegan breakfast is excellent served up until 2pm. During the summer there is a nice patio spot outside.

The food here is delicious and they offer many vegan options. The vegan hummus with soy strips was amazing and the chickpea omelete was very delicious. The waiter was very quick to seat us and kindly went over the menu. The decor is very old school but modern at the same time. This place seats roughly 60-70 people which is much better than the small cafes in the area. The bill took quite some time to arrive so I would suggest they are quicker with this since some people can be in a rush sometimes. Other than this, excellent service.

Love the modern diner motif of this cafe. Haven't tried the food but the middle eastern take on coffee treats and espresso drinks are unqiue and welcomed. Think of it as an advanced Aroma. Great place to chill and hang with friends. Staff are very informative and friendly.
