Wimpy's Diner

Went on a boxing day with my girlfriend. Found it online, and decided to give it a try since it had a good rating. When we arrived, the atmosphere was very friendly and family-like. The lady told us to find any seat we want since it was somewhat empty at that time. We got our drinks right away, and took some time with the menu. Since the restaurant was only half full at the moment, the food came out very fast, only took around 5 minutes or so. The food itself was great quality and excellent quantity as well! The waitress came around just enough times as well to ask for additional coffee, but not to the point where it was bothersome. In the end, we packed up some of the omelette because we couldn't finish it. All in all, very satisfactory in customer service, food quality and quantity, and the overall atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and go again in the future! (Yet to try their other menu other than brunch)

My boyfriend and I are somewhat regulars at this location, because it generally outperforms local competition in terms of cleanliness, service, and overall quality. In fact, my boyfriend previously rated this location a 5 star, as seen below in his review. However, we felt obligated to change our rating to a 2.5. We had a very negative experience today; not one of those “off” days where the food may not be best, or it’s really busy, so customers may be forgotten about - these were issues that could have easily been remedied. When we were here last (about 3 weeks ago) the server was wonderful. She accommodated the fact that the big breakfast was taken off the menu (which is disappointing) and was creative with how to offer a similar product for my boyfriend who used to order that - I feel this is an accurate example of how this location usually is. Today however, our service was rude, dismissive, and not at all accommodating. Our server refused to be creative with his request to make a ‘big breakfast like’ option, by interrupting him mid order stating it wasn’t possible. She also interrupted me during the placement of my order. When our orders were received, one of my sunnyside up eggs were extremely undercooked. I understand this is a fault of the kitchen and not the server, so I set it aside and upon her return, I handed her the spare plate, and politely asked if it could be cooked a little more. She pretty much grabbed it out of my hand and said “k” and did not even present as apologetic for the fact that my food was undercooked. When she brought it back, it was still undercooked, yet burnt on the bottom, but due to her attitude I did not feel comfortable bringing it up again. I ate my unsatisfactory breakfast, paid, and left with the idea that we may not come back.

Took my wife to breakfast after getting her hair done. The food was good, and the service excellent. The waitress treated us as if we were family. Wimpy's is a gem. Parking can be difficult, but there is plenty in the adjoining plaza and a walkway that was worn down beating a path to their door! Well worth the stop!

Eggs for breakfast or lunch, done just the way you like! I have mine with grilled tomatoes rather than fries. A good way to minimize calories and maximize taste! Definitely a place to be comfortable and be yourself!

Warm, friendly atmosphere. Delicious American dishes with tex-mex hanburger strongly recommended. Though, staff service could be a bit arrogant occasionally; or sometimes the waiters could be too busy around to patiently serve you.
