Cactus Club Cafe First Canadian Place

Had an amazing experience at the Catcus Club Cafe for our women’s day lunch. We were greeted with a welcome drink which was very nice. I had the butternut squash ravioli with prawns which was so rich and comforting. For drinks, I had the Blood n’ Blanco which was citrusy and refreshing. We got truffle fries and chicken wings for apps which were so addicting and a surprise dessert platter! The vanilla ice cream was so rich and our party really enjoyed the cheese cakes and chocolate cake. Our server Joey was amazing and gave us all these great recommendations and customer service. Would 100% come here again!

The place is modern in design, the interior was very nice but a little loud like a party place and appealing. place had a good amount of guests so be prepared to wait a little. The server was nice and polite.nnWe ordered truffle fries which was very tasty and the serving sizs was enough for 2 people. The cheese sauce was amazing and the fries were crispy.nnThe brioche bread with butter was so good with whipped butter flavored well and buns were crispy but soft inside.nnThe steak and fries was cooked the way it was ordered, medium well and the steak tender but could be better.nnThe rigatoni was decent, good amount and was filling with some leftover. The bread was good, parmesan complemented it.nnThe peach bellini was good and capped off the night real well.nnOverall, we had a great experience.

I went out to dinner with friends with no big intentions, just a little outing in a nice place. Unfortunately 2 of my friends couldn’t make it and the dinner was therefore delayed by an hour. Fortunately, our waitress was very understanding, patient and kind. She asked me if we were celebrating something special to which I said no. She therefore proceeded to serve us and ask for my ID, she probably saw my date of birth in the latter. The dinner went very well the service was excellent and the food divine. I took the Bolognese Rigatonni but I can tell you that it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the waitress but she was absolutely adorable. At the end of our dinner she asked us to wait a little because there was a little surprise. Something I didn't expect since I didn't mention my birthday at all but it deeply touched my heart. I thank her very much for the kind and sweet attention. May her wonderful soul be blessed as she made me feel for my birthday. Ps: if you ever see this, your smile is everything, keep shining

Great atmosphere and vibe! Beautiful, cozy, and contemporary restaurant. They have a wide variety of drinks and beer. Their cocktails are the best. I recommend their burgers and Baja Tacos, but the food is just delicious. It gets busy so make sure make a reservation just to be sure. Defenetly coming back, Great music too!

I had my 19th birthday dinner here with a group of friends, and overall, we had a great dining experience. To start, I was a bit let down when I was informed that my patio reservation was moved indoors because they closed the patio for that night. I was looking for a more upbeat, outgoing style meal but instead we were seated in a booth, which was fine. Onto the drinks, we each ordered a cocktail and we were semi -delighted with their taste. The drinks were all quite strong, and I believe they sacrificed the enjoyability of the drinks with a higher alcohol content. Next, the food was just okay, which is to be expected from a casual restaurant like this that offers all cuisines. I enjoyed my chipotle chicken tacos, however my friend who ordered steak frites wasn't entirely impressed by the taste of her meal. I also think the service could have been quicker, especially at the end, where we had to wait 20+ min just to receive the free birthday sundae, then another 20 min to get the bill. I probably won't be returning to Cactus Club since I know there's lots of better options out there, but nonetheless, I had a nice birthday meal here and I'm happy I got to try their signature drinks on my special night.
