I had an excellent experience here today Sunday January 22nd around 10:30am. I walked in no appointment and was greeted by the front. She was able to check me in right away waited about 10 min. The female doctor who helped me was exceptional. She was kind, professional, and cared about what I came in for. I felt very heard. Will return!
I have been a patient at this clinic for years. I absolutely love my doctor and that’s the only reason why I don’t move elsewhere. This clinic functions SO poorly. It’s so difficult to get someone on the phone to book a walk-in or family doctor appointment. Sometimes I have waited on hold for 45 minutes or more! And be careful about the call back option. Sometimes they don’t call you back at all! Once I do get someone on the phone, I’m often told that my doctor is booking appointments 4 to 6 weeks out. Ridiculous! If you just need a prescription or have a simple question, it feels so difficult to get transferred to your doctor’s reception and then the communication is so poor. It seems like this clinic is too busy, under resourced, and poorly managed. It’s a bummer because it has the potential to be great. Wonderful doctors and so convenient to have everything under one roof - if you can access the services you need when you actually need them!
before pandemic and lock down, it is great no matter in person and phone. Now, really suck, staff behave really rude, phone never goes in. Doctors become really impatient. They really care 15 min one patient rule. If you have more questions or want them to clarify something, they will be rude and hand up your phone. And they only offer a few in person appointments since government forces them to do so, or they won't be paid by the government.
Been going here for about 20 years now, and this place has really gone downhill. I’ve been trying to refill a prescription, and it’s absolutely impossible to get an appointment with any doctor. My family doctor is usually a 1-2 week wait minimum, the walk-in clinic is an absolute joke, I have tried booking an appointment there the past 5 days at various times throughout the day. They open up all their spots as soon as they open at 8am, so I have tried booking right at they open with no avail. If you even manage to get an appointment have fun either getting a phone call anywhere from 1 hour before or 2-3 hours after your scheduled time. Definitely would not recommend this clinic, it used to be great, but now they have way to many patients and not enough doctors to accommodate.
Good doctors. Poorly managed. I have had really good experiences with the doctors here over the past 8 or so years. However, the management of the clinic is really bad. I routinely get reminders of in person appointments when the scheduled appointment is a phone appointment. Twice I have been asked by the doctor to schedule an appointment for six months or a year later and then get told by the receptionist that they can't schedule appointments that far ahead of time and have to try to schedule it in a few months. When my doctor was moving out of the city I got a letter from the clinic telling me there were no available doctors in the clinic that I could switch to. When I mentioned this to my doctor he was visibly irritated with the reception staff and told me to call and ask. I did and was transferred to another doctor with no problem. It's sad that the experience is so tainted by the administration because the actual medical side is good.
I spoke with Robert in the booking centre and he was exceptionally helpful, friendly and professional. I had an ultrasound appointment but had misplaced my requisition and mistakenly taken in a different form. I arrived at the diagnostic centre not the one at Albany Clinic, ready for my appointment, to realize I was without my requisition. I called the booking line and spoke with Robert. He was friendly and prompt and ensured the form was sent properly. I greatly appreciate his efficiency, and most importantly, his kindness in such a rushed situation. Big commendation for this individual!
Dr. Haddad is an excellent doctor and I've almost never had to wait in the waiting room long for my appointment. Today my appointment started at the exact time it was scheduled. I also am amazed at how easily I can see my doctor whenever I book an appointment- it's always less than two weeks away and many times it's been less than a week. This is such a difficult time for healthcare workers and I want to thank Albany Clinic for their hard work.
I used to love the Albany Medical Clinic but it has gone downhill tremendously. The biggest issue is the fact you can't get through to a live person to make an appointment with my family doctor. I have spent weeks trying to get ahold of the contact centre to get an appointment booked. I have waited on hold for over 2 hours, requested MULTIPLE callbacks and still do not have an appointment with my family doctor. It is a real shame because the doctors at Albany are great, but the admin service/ booking process is terrible.
From out of town and needed to visit a medical clinic. So glad I found this one. Had to register then they gave me a time to come back. When you come back you must go up to the counter and let them know that you are there. Had Dr. Haddad and she was amazing. They were really busy there and I assume they’re busy like this every day. I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff working there. They do an amazing job!
Usually this place is pretty good. I’ve been with them for several years now but since covid things have really gone downhill. The last time i made a phone appointment with my family doctor, I was never called. Didn’t have the appointment. Recently I’ve tried calling to book with them and they either never pick up and I’m waiting endlessly on hold or they just don’t call me back when I select the callback option. Really disappointing and upsetting, and it’s unfortunate bc I’ve only ever had good experiences with my family doctor. Idk about the other staff though.
