Bricks Kitchen & Pub

2nd time here. I'll start with the positives. Good beer selection and nice casual atmosphere. The food has been good yet a little pricey for what it is. The presentation and style is reaching for an upper scale market. My first time here was with a party of 8. The hostess was no where to be found. We waited and waited. When we were greeted by I will presume the owner, he looked bothered that we were there. It wasn't just me. The whole party could see and feel it. The place was not busy yet 10 minutes later we were seated. We had a good time and did enjoy the food. The second time. Again were is the hostess? The owner again seats us. Yes, a frown on his face. Maybe it is just the stress of running a restaurant but you really should put on a front so your patrons don't feel put out when visiting your establishment. Our food was good and the waitress was pleasant. Paid my bill and tipped 20%. Not a brag just need to preface the next point. My banking transaction went through 2 days later and someone added an extra $10 to the bill! Not cool! It was already $75 for 4 burgers on the lunch menu. I will NOT be going back. Ultimately you will make your own decision on what to do. I am new to this town and have been making it a habit to try different places to get a feel for the local fair. I have just crossed this place of my list. You have other options.

Amazing service every time! First off, I love that it isn't located directly off highway 65, the view really pays off and you aren't usually bombarded with endless rows of vehicles. I had Chelsey as a server and she did amazing! Timely service, great food, nice selection of wine and beer, and the atmosphere is wonderful. If you have the money try the bourbon shrimp!

This is one of my favorites. Try the Brickle; it is unique to Bricks. The patio is amazing. So fun to just sit and enjoy the fire and a drink on a warm summer evening. The ambiance inside can get loud at times, but the atmosphere has energy. The food is fabulous!

We've been to Brick's three or four times and we are always happy with the service and the food. It would be nice if the beet salad were still available, but the Caesar salad with steak was delicious according to my daughter. I love club sandwiches and this club is moist and flavorful. The soup was a tomato scallop - a unique combo and tasty. We tried the fancy tater tots and they were fine - little crumbly - again full of flavor.

Used to be a weekly thing. Downgrading because the catering to gluten free folks has declined. I like to go to have a good gluten free burger on a GF bun. They switched the buns to a soggy mushy bun with little poppy seeds all over it. You can't even eat it without peeling the gross bun off first. Now I could eat it with no bun... But that is not what I go there for. I have complained about the bun switch a few times but they don't go back to the better ones. They also took their delightful nachos made with grated cheese.. Baked so it it's hot when they bring it to nachos that are drowning in cold cheese sauce. So disappointing. So now we only go to Bricks on occasion to see if anything has improved. But no longer is it a place we go to..a couple times a week. Too bad. We were loyal customers. Know the staff by name... But can no longer take the food.
