From entering, the service of hostess plus especially our waiter David was amazing! He was sooo nice and had high energy. Loved that. The food was amazing too, so flavourful; huge portions, but so delicious it’s hard not to finish it all. We did the pasta with the baby shrimp, scallops, clams and salmon.Also seating around dinner time on a Saturday was really easy even without reservation Dietary restrictions: They have options if you have allergies and are very accommodating
Excellent Italian restaurant with a large selection of pasta and pizza and huge portions! You can't go wrong here. With so many different sauces and pasta shapes to choose from, you'll find something new to try every time you go. The full portion is the best value for the average person. You get two meals for almost the price of one! Definitely try this place if you haven't already. Some might recognize this place as the old location of Italian Tomato, which closed down not that long ago. I can say that the spirit is the same and the food continues to be excellent!
Bonta has a homey atmosphere and lots of character, and the warm staff add that much more to the experience. The portions definitely justify the prices; There was no way I could finish my plate without going into a coma. And my god, that cheesecake was divine. Only complaint: Caeser salad was watery and very lackluster.
My friend was raving about this place and I was excited to come here. We got the seafood linguini. It came with a cream sauce. To my surprise, it came with as soup. See video. When asked about it, the staff was now apologetic and just said it was the pasta. Drain it and it will not be soup. I asked for bread so I can put it in the soup and got a baguette with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Well the baguette was not home made if it was. Change the recipe. Cause it was not good. I would not recommend this place for pasta but for soup. Very disappointed
What a fantastic night! My friends and I visited from California. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent, and the drag was pure entertainment. Carlotta Gurl was a fantastic host for the show. All the girls engaged with the audience. If you're visiting from the outside of Canada make sure you bring paper currency. The bar will give you smaller bills if you need them. Also the portion size of the meals are huge. I suggest ordering a few dishes to split at the table. Or order the half-size dish. By far the start to a fun night.
Food was excellent 5/5 and the service from a very knowledgeable waiter made the choices easy from the large selection of pastas/sauces, large portions and quality food, atmosphere was very nice not to bright/over stimulating. FABULOUS dinner - we were a group of 7 and they were able to accommodate us right away. We had drinks, appetizers and amazing pasta dishes. My friend and I shared the full size serving of one of the seafood pasta dishes and it was the perfect amount. We shared a few bites around the table and everyone's dish was do good. The server Lukas was a star, he was so charming and kind. Big groups on a Friday night can be overwhelming but he was on top of everything we needed. Thanks for a great evening!
Went to a larger birthday party here and it was quite good. Food was a large portion, and very fresh. Almost everyone took home leftovers. Only complaint I'd have is I never got a glass for water but mistakes happen.Food: 5/5
Had a fantastic evening at Bonta - the pasta was delicious! I had the half portion, which to be honest was enough for two meals, and for only a few dollars more the full portion would give you even more to take home in a box and have later in the week. Wine bottles were half-price so we treated ourselves :. Special thanks to our waitress, Tracy, who was super friendly and made us feel at home. Best dining experience I've had in a while! Highly recommended.
For pasta, they have great portions $2 more for full size, but it's a lot of food and a nice selection of different sauces. You can get different types of pasta pay extra for stuffed pasta, along with 3 main "base" sauces tomato, cream, oil based sauces but there's a wide variety of each base sauce. The service is friendly and they clarify the menu; nice venue.
