City Square Pizza

Not sure why this place isn't rated higher! Lots of selection and so delicious! They had 6 creative vegetarian options and then an additional 6 different cheese pizzas. The one we ate was a sundried tomato and artichoke pizza with roasted garlic. The crust was crispy and then the dough was so fluffy. It had a pesto sauce that was so nice with the flavour profile. Other vegetarian options I remember her saying was a potato and white sauce lower left of pic, mix veg top left, eggplant and pepper middle top, and sorry I can't remember the rest. The seating is structured like an average hole in the wall pizza place, which is why the 4 stars instead of 5. Because of this I would say this place is great to do take out or grab a quick snack.

Finally Vancouver has a different style pizza place and we need it. Detroit style, I am not familiar with so I can't speak to authenticity. But that being said, loaded with toppings, quality ingredients. Can order by the slice but I think It's best to order a full one fresh. It is filling and reasonably priced. Crispy bottom and edges, chewy fluffy dough. Would eat again.

They make delicious, innovative pizza. If only they heated it up enough. The pizza is great. But I’ve been several times and each time my eat-in slice is kinda cold. They just don’t have the toaster calibrated properly.

Not impressed. Lots of choices. I had the basic pepperoni which I typically love but this is supposed to be a deep dish pizza with a nice thick crust and my had a huge air bubble in it so there wasn't much dough in my $6 pizza square - super disappointing. These squares used to be $4.50 back in April and recently went up. I understand inflation but that's a big jump and my slice was definitely not worth that.

This spot is pretty decent. My slice was still a little cold in the middle, even though they reheated it. The price for one slice is ok. The pizza was delicious, I had the pepperoni, classic. I like the Detroit style pan pizza, I don’t often have this option. I will be back for a whole pie and I’m already excited.

We were passing by and the display caught our eyes. It looks so delicious we couldn't resist. We went in and got the pepperoni and Jalapeno. Hand down one of the best pizza I ever had. Enjoyed every bites. If your are visiting Vancouver you need try try this gem on Davie street

Stopped in yesterday after walking by pizza by the slice joints by the dozens all with what looks like the same uninspired pizza in each shop. The variety of pizza in the window caught my eye so I went in and tried 2 different types, Cheese and Mushroom. While they were reheated the nature of the thick crust caused both to still be cold in the middle so they needed a bit more time. When they came out and handed me the plate I asked about the sauce on top as Detroit style Pizza is served with the sauce on top and was told not here so I would call it Detroit inspired pizza not Detroit style. The mushroom was tasty and better than any of the other slices I've had in the lower mainland in recent times flavour wise, and would have been improved if it were warm all the way through. The cheese sadly the white sauce does not have enough pop to carry that thick of crust, without the sauce on the top.

Happened upon this sort of new pizza joint on Davie, City Square Pizza. I don't normally go for a thick crust, but this was so light and crispy and the toppings were fabulous. Lunch special, two slicers and a pop for $10. Highly recommended.

Great pizzas that are very filling. Lots of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians alike. They had some issues with pizza rewarming oven but my pizza still came out relatively hot.Food: 5/5
