The service was terrific, and we got really good recommendations that fit our needs at the time. The atmosphere is really good, you can see the chef making the pizzas and the stone oven that fun fact there is not a lot of them in Vancouver- as the service lady said The food was just perfect. Every bite we had, we enjoyed even more. The cocktails are really good too, and there is a good range of variety. I recommend this place, and I'll be there again soon!
I went to Gastronomy with 4 friends for dinner and we were all entirely satisfied with the food and service. We tried pretty much everything on the menu and I'm happy to say every dish was good! The beef tartare especially was a stand out. Exceptional dish. Try it. You wont regret it : My friends liked the 2 pasta options more than the pizza. But I liked the pizza more. We also tried several cocktails, and they were all tasty. I hope this place gets the crowd it deserves!
The presentation for food and drinks here was great. The oysters were fresh. The tuna salad was not bas but the grapefruit slices were way too sour and didnt seem to fit the dish. Pizza was pizza
Definitely a delicious treat. The food was absolutely worth the trip out there and we could tell it was very hearty. The service was great as well as we had the staff chat with us often. They were friendly and kind enough to let us know the ingredients of the dishes as they were brought out. The decor of the restaurant feels interesting and unique as well in its set up. We noticed they did have some GF and vegetarian dishes which is awesome but probably about one vegan dish so do keep that in mind for your next visit. It was a little pricier than we thought it’d be cost vs portion of the dish for certain dishes but overall it was a good experience.
We came on a Monday night for dinner and it was oddly really quiet in the restaurant. Food was good, we enjoyed most of it. Only turn off was the Notorios P.I.G pizza…upon bringing it to the table the waitress sprayed some kind of cherry glaze on the entire pizza and I’m not sure if that is what made it sooooo sweet, but it was like candy sweet. Dessert was just ok. Drinks were phenomenal. Definitely in the sketchier part of neighborhood.
Finally got to try this restaurant in beautiful gastown on a rainy day. We got in right before their last call for the night went through at 10:30pm, and the staff was accommodating and got us a table and took our orders promptly. We got a primo margarita pizza, which came with a block of cheese which we cut up and assembled on the pizza which was creative and fun. The pizza dough was incredible, super chewy and full of flavor. The cheese tasted great, and I would have enjoyed tasting more of that sauce. Butternut squash lasagna was creative and unique. About the desserts, the Elvis is a ricotta with banana and lemon brittle, super tasty and would recommend. The Italian baked Alaska looked like a piece of art, with each tip charred perfectly and had a lemon sorbet with a layer of cake and cream on top. The citrus was strong and it is a dish for those who aren't scared of stronger flavored unconventional desserts. The ambience in this place is incredible, from the way the walls are lit up, to the candlelit tables which made everything look so much better. Definitely a place for a date night, with an incredible, uplifting playlist and good service.
Finally a restaurant making Vancouver dining scene great again. Very unique ingredient combos that FINALLY come together. Complex and well executed. Thank you for restoring my hope in the "Over complicated, poorly executed amd over prices Vancouver dining scene. Look forward to eating my way through your menu. These items I had were delicious!
It was absolutely delicious and satisfying dinner that I had for a while. I would say it’s the BEST pizza in town hands down. The atmosphere is great which can be casual at the same time quite fancy as well. Overall all the food were delicious and good portion, definitely worthy for the price. The oysters are SUPER FRESH! The one thing that I thought is that I personally think it would fit better some music something like chill jazz or rhythmical songs without any lyrics. Overall I really enjoyed dinning here at Gastronomy. I would definitely go back.
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious firewood pizza at Gastronomy Gastown, and it was truly amazing! The crust was perfectly crisp and the cheese melted to perfection. The pizza was topped with fresh vegetables and a savory tomato sauce that left my taste buds wanting more. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant and attentive staff made my dining experience all the better. If you're looking for exceptional Italian food, delicious cocktails, fresh oysters and great ambiance, Gastronomy Gastown is the place to be! Highly recommended!
Situated in the heart of Gastown. This place is a modern gem with low-key atmosphere and trendy decor. The braised beef is a must try. Their pizzas also come in good portion sizes. Cocktails are reasonably priced considering they are doubles. The drinks were delicious! Popularly known cocktails added with great twists. Great for gatherings and date nights.
