It's not bad. It was a little slow when I went. The drinks are extremely overpriced. $34 for 3 tequila shots. Probably a good idea to drink before you come here. The bar tenders are gorgeous girls but do not know what a smile is. This wouldn't be my first choice to come party. Also not worth paying cover. 2/5
Don’t get there before midnight or you will receive no service and the dance floor is not open. Drinks were ok, $5 highballs were nice, the only incentive to be there before midnight. $10 cover to get in and there was barely any people. Once the music is on it’s very loud and good beats. I’d recommend this place to go with a group of friends.
Came out for a friend's birthday. Cover was $10 and the drinks seemed pretty watered down considering that it's nearly $9 for bar rail. The bartender didn't seem super thrilled to be working, either, in spite of a fairly large crowd. Bathroom was pretty stinky. Can't say that I didn't enjoy myself, but it wasn't clear to me exactly what's supposed to be premium about the place besides the prices. There was a guy out front shouting at the police when I arrived, so don't be surprised if things get a bit out of hand if you're out late
Had an amazing time at Bohca! The service was Amazing! We had a party of 10 and Bohca was more then accommodating, we had such a good night all thanks to them. Definitely recommend coming here if you haven’t already.
Now while almanac never really worked for me they were at least trying to make it as a real restaurant; whereas despite their launch pictures on the grams it seems I have walked into a front for some sort of drug money laundering operation as there is a table of vaguely menacing looking people at the back - no one seems to know what they are doing So I walk through the first door and am getting stared down by this guy who is either shocked or annoyed that someone has come in. The bartender/server was unfamiliar with his own menu that he spent two minutes looking for another copy of a menu he had already given me see pic. Given they seem to be going for an upscale thing I ask him to pick a cocktail for me, he seemed befuddled by this but I ended up with some sort of mellon thing, it was fine - I am sure many 19 year old girls will love them. Then I ordered a Manhattan, they have this interesting glass for it and despite an interesting vermouth choice much lighter than a Manhattan would traditionally be made with it was drinkable. As I was there I got to see a assumed manager lecture the server who just came in and the bartender on a variety of basic restaurant things like cashout - well at least there was some entertainment though this sort of training seems like something you might not do while customers are around, and before you open. Overall I was somewhere between unimpressed and scared for my life being here - they are obviously going for much more of a club vibe than a restaurant vibe - I came in expecting some good cocktails and looking forward to trying some food at a new place, and left after some mildly OK cocktails because of the weird vibes - perhaps it will be more appealing to those looking for bottle service for the grams instead of a good meal.
I came in on their very first soft open night with a few friends and we had the best time. Our server Jenny was so friendly and had great recommendations. The owners were very welcoming also and spent time warmly greeting and thanking each table. Lovely cocktails and delicious food, try the shrimp risotto!
"The Night Was Great, Until..." The night began great and as usual as it would of a dining experience. My girls and I all had fun, we had our meal, and after we're done eating, we moved to the lounge area for some drinks. By the time we're done paying and just finishing our drinks and ready to leave, we were approached by a promoter, Vince, who offered to get us all a round free drinks. Of course, we appreciated the hospitality and took them. So, we decided to stay around just a little longer. A few photographers crowded in, and moved us around in the venue to pictures taken for promotional reasons since that was their Grand Opening night, so we were happy to reciprocate. After that, the promoter verbally offered us more drinks before leaving to attend to his other errands. Up until this point, everything was normal – but here's where everything started leaving a sour trace... While one of the photographers is taking photos of us, a server came to us saying "Can you ladies leave after you're done taking pictures because you're not drinking anymore." What? First of all, I understand it's your grand opening night. You needed more tables to be available for guests in the line outside the door perhaps so you can fulfill customer service. We get it. However, by the very act of abruptly demanding your paying customers to leave – especially we were already prepared to leave in the first place if it wasn’t for the free drinks offer – plus, already doing you promotional favors by agreeing to have our pictures taken by your photographers – you already breached a rule of customer service, ironically. Read this again: "Can you ladies leave after you're done taking pictures because you're not drinking anymore?" a.k.a. "Can you ladies leave after you're done doing us promotional favors because you're no longer of financial value -- and only a spatial liability from this point on?" Well that’s how it sounded like. Not only that...when one of my friends said "No, we’re still waiting for the drinks your promoter offered and he is on his way.", to which the server replied "If you’re willing to move to the dining area [so that others can sit where you’re currently comfortably sitting] then we're going to serve you more drinks." Although we were very appreciative of the fact that we were offered free drinks thank you, we didn't ask for them in the first place and they certainly weren’t offered under the condition that we had to be herded around the room “per required”. We came here as your hospitality guests, not your health patients being ushered around the hospital wing. Hearing that, we simply got up and left. Guys, this isn't how business is done. It’s common sense that you prioritize the customers who are already inside your establishment rather than the ones that are still outside. If it’s not common, let that be common moving forward. Even if you really really really had to open up some tables, there are more polite ways to signal for your customers to leave. And one of the polite ways is certainly not "Please begone after the pictures" Simply put, it felt like to us your customers are only means to an end, I don’t normally take time out to write reviews like this. In fact, ALL OTHER reviews I posted on Google are written to praise. So, this says something. I don’t wish bad upon any local small business as it’s currently tough times – but operating a business in tough times is all the more reason that your staff should navigate relationships properly. And not merely cross them like bridges towards profits.
Please update the music it sounds like I am listening to a tiktok playlist. Recommendations: Suavemente, any bachata song, anything to actually dance to would work tbh.
My favourite place to come for a night out. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service. The music is always fire and the vibes are just the best. New to edmonton but this has quickly become one of my fav places to go def recommend !
Best Nightclub in edmonton ! The place to be if you like reggaeton, afro beats , hip hop and old school music. Such good vibes and the bartenders and bottle service girls are beautiful. Drinks are affordable but bottle service is cheaper before 11 pm best deal!
