This is one of the hot brunch restaurants in Victoria. Place opens 8am in the morning and there was already many people waiting well before the opening time. Food was very good. Sandwich was lunch menu but still was able to order it in the morning. Price is fair as well. Parking are on street, so ensure to pay at the meter station.
If you can tolerate the wait, you’ll be rewarded with a table. Saturday morning lineup 10:20, seated at 11:10 ordered and food arrived 11:30. Real breakfast potatoes is a good sign. Creole chicken club; good. Apple French toast; okay. Good presentation and sizeable portions. Small seating area and few waitresses attending customers. Bright rustic environment, huge windows displaying waiting patrons with food envy. Decent coffee.
I had, what was probably the best banana pancakes I've ever had, in my life at this dynamite Victoria staple. Yes, there was a wait, but it was well worth it. I had a full Ratatouille moment, sans the pen drop; just a wave of good flavours and memories of sitting at the table, dining upon a fat stack of banana pancakes as a little kid. Nothing on that menu is going to be a miss, ladies and gents. It's all up to what you want, and it'll be a treat. The drinks are also really good too! With proper homemade whipped cream, turn any coffee into a champion with a splash of Bailey's to boot. Just...be patient, wait in line, and you'll see what the fuss is about.
Great taste, presentation and service. Expect line up so come early. Breakfast plate was awesome with amazing jam. Everything cooked very well with flavor and looks great! Will visit again. My husband had a sweet pancake dish...also fabulous!
Went on a Saturday. There was an enormous line outside but it moved at a good rate. The menu is outside the front door but we were called in just as we got close enough to see it so we had to pull it up on the website on our phones once seated. The restaurant was busy and likely short staffed. I ordered a dish and asked to swap the mushrooms for beans. My friend ordered the same dish but no tomatoes. We both got our food with no tomatoes. Also, one of us got ketchup while the other did not even though we ordered the same thing. We were eventually able to flag someone down the fix the ketchup issue. The food was delicious, the portion was huge and filling. Good coffee. I feel for the busy staff but the little mistakes made me deduct a star. I would go back and try again - ideally when I’m not driving because their cocktails looked amazing.
Very cute location, huge portions I shared apple pancakes with my friend and still couldn't finish the whole thing. Food tasted good and you have several options to choose from. I also got a mocha and my friend got a hot chocolate, they were both good.Food: 5/5
Always love this place. Great food. Sometimes it feels like nobody goes there because the line ups are too long. One time about 17 years ago I went here with a group of friends our server was awesome to everyone except me. Now, I wasn't mistreated or anything...he just kept shooting me glances like he'd just run over my dog and had to tell me about it. I never asked, but I still think about it to this day. I had the platter that day.
Good eats and service! Very nice high ceiling restaurant, can get a little noisy but I didn't mind it. Food it filling and there's a good amount of it. Staff are super friendly and are on top of getting refills and top ups water, coffee. Staff also concious of food allergies and preferences, able to cater to each person was in a larger group. Good variety of breakfast/ brunch foods, smaller selection for lunch but can make the brunch foods at lunch. Acoloholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available.
Best brunch ever! The mocha was nice, has free refills. The food was fantastic! Creamy and savoury pancakes, nicely down omelette with flavourful stuffings, and creative nacho dish that fits amazing as breakfast! 100% recommended. There will be a wait for 30-45mins with rain cover.
Absolutely phenomenal! Unique and delicious twists on the classics. Lovely decor and ambience. And staff very attention! Kitchen was fast and had food out within a very reasonable time! Loved the place. Worth the long line up.
