Pretty great pizza joint. We got a small cheese and a large “Super Veggie”. Our plan was to get the pizza and drive it up Cadillac Mountain, but that plan didn’t work out. The pizza was cold by the time we started to eat it, it was still really good. The crust was perfectly done and there was a generous amount of cheese on there. I was impressed with the Super Veggie; sometimes pizza places either add too many veggies or have them dry up in the oven. I could really taste the veggies and it paired well with the cheese. Seemed like there were regulars to the place when I was waiting to pick up our order. Nothin’ more to say — it’s good pizza! 8
My husband and I ate ordered the garlic cheese bread, super veggie, and Pat’s and all were great! The garlic bread wasn’t very garlicky but was made well otherwise. We visited after Columbus Day, so many restaurants were closed. We were so happy to find this neighborhood pizza spot that was still serving customers. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. Would come back again!:
Delicious! We had pizza a few days ago and went back to try their subs today just as good as the pizza. Both time their staff was wonderful.
I was apart of a party of twelve. Kept my winter coat on because inside the restaurant was just as cold as the outside. It took them two hours to get our orders in, two other tables with 4-5 people each got food and payed and exited before we even got our food, we arrived before them. Buffalo wings and rebuen sandwich were salty. Pizza was ok. Servers were pleasant but obviously under pressure to serve all the tables. The chef ‍ did come out to apologize and took a percentage off the bill. The restaurant just switched owners, hoping they get on track soon. It was also winter season in Bar Harbor and most eateries were closed thus the crowd that converged at this location.
Be very careful of your receipt and check the prices which was outrageous. When I checked my receipt when I got home was total $81.20 for 2 large Buffalo wings 1 large steak and cheese sub which looked like a small. The wings were so salty couldn't eat them. Place has definatly changed and not for the better. I have gotten the same thing several times before and paid around $48.00 yesterday same order cost $81.27. Not my go to place again.
Took a trip to the island to visit the lesser famous Pat’s Pizza as we heard there were new owners and some work being done to all aspects of the establishment. We seldom go to the island in season so we relish our winter time lunch excursions visiting locations that remain open. Upon entering it was apparent from the small pile of construction leftovers, work was underway. We were greeted instantly by two young women with friendly smiles and great manners so lacking today. I ordered one of the jerked specials Jerked Chicken Sliders, my wife a meatball calzone. Our drinks arrived in record time much faster than in Ellsworth truth be told and both were refreshingly COLD, my Allagash White was lapping the rim of my glass not foam, liquid! - a great pour… Here’s where it gets good. The jerked chicken was the BEST JERKED CHICKEN I’ve had since I experienced the “perfect” jerked chicken in Barbados many years ago. The sliders came with a generous portion of breast meat, slaw and an accompanying magic jerk “sauce” the consistency of chutney… The jerk spices, mild heat, sweetness provided by the sauce and moisture of the slaw was a wonderful combination. My wife’s calzone was loaded with meatball and a wonderful marinara accompanied. I got to meet one of the chef/owners, Jason - who I conveyed my thanks to and the story of Barbados… He is a dynamic young man with some awesome ideas and culinary chops. Shhhh… Rumor has it a jerk station where beef, pork and chicken will be provided may be on the horizon. The service was top notch, fast and friendly. We later found out our server, was a lobster boat captain, working the winter, chomping at the bit to go fishing. A lovely young lady, with an inspiring smile and warm knowing manner for one so “young”. If you want the Pat’s Pizza experience with a twist, OR LOVE AUTHENTIC JERK CUISINE, seek out Pat’s Pizza, downtown Bar Harbor behind Not Your Average Joe’s. I would have awarded 4.5 STARS if possible… Thank you to our host Jason. With your style of jerked cuisine - you WILL be a success sir. Peace
New owners are completely miserable people to deal with & refuse refunds. Would not recommend to anybody. If you want Pats pizza this location is not the one to choose.
Perfect pours - excellent service - Jerk Chicken to die for! Tastefully remodeled. This is the crown jewel of Pat’s pizzas!
Here on vacation and the only pizza place in town left open is Pat’s so we didn’t have much choice. They only do carryout apparently so we ordered then walked over to pick it up. The lady who took my order and payment was nice enough. The flavor of the pizza was good and the garlic knots with cheese were great. Unfortunately, nothing else went well. First three calls to order rang busy. Then we found out that the menu was only available on Facebook or in a case at the front door with some caveats, see pictures. Dessert is spelled with two T’s by the way. Getting it home, we both were on our second piece of pizza when we noticed that the double dough was very definitely NOT cooked through. The crust underneath was barely cooked enough, the rest of the dough was absolutely NOT. Pulling the ample toppings off, there was essentially totally uncooked dough underneath. Long story short, we’re definitely missing out on all the fun in Acadia today and struggling with the fact that there’s only one bathroom in our AirBNB rental. Make sure your food is cooked and don’t ruin your vacation.
Great pizza, 8.4. Crust was the standout with this pizza. Solid cheese and sauce, but they do a good job getting the crust to a great crunch. Due to Covid couldn't experience the interior much, but seemed friendly and efficient enough
