The food and cocktails were top notch. Each dish had a twist to it and was delicious. The cocktails were also really good and pretty unique. Service was also amazing! This is a great place for a night out with friends
Went with a group of 6 people on a Friday night. Service was exceptional from the moment I walked in till the end. We ordered almost everything on the food menu. The food was delicious and I can’t wait to go back again. My favourite dishes are probably the salad and the tea egg. I also loved the Peking chicken wrap. The chicken skin was very crispy. Prices are reasonable considering what you getting. Presentation of the food was lovely. Highly recommend this place! I am definitely returning
A cool spot to hang out and grab some Asian-inspired drinks and tapas-style snacks. The drinks are all very innovative, including some interesting takes on classics. The more traditional dishes such as century egg & tofu, eggroll, and mushroom/cucumber salad are very well done. My favourite dishes were the more innovative takes such as the Peking chicken, the pork belly, and the edamame.
An excellent place, high quality stuff only, nice ambiance, staff care a lot. I tried the beef potstickers, these are boujie potstickers, they're big and juicy and there's hollandaise sauce in the serving pan. The crispy decoration with colourful petals looked good under the interior lighting. The pork slices were also tasty, looked really nice too. The ceiling decorations are remarkable, definitely some intelligently planned interior lighting architecture here.
A very well crafted and inventive cocktail experience, where every detail seems to have been considered. The service is fantastic, especially our bartender Morgan, and very knowledgeable. It’s clear that every drink and dish here has been made with care, and that absolutely translates to the palate. Everything I tasted was complex and delicious, and I would definitely recommend Bitter Melon to any foodie or cocktail aficionado. An extra shout out to the bar team for developing some genuinely elevated non alcoholic cocktails.
I really enjoyed my experience here! Everything was delicious, and the service was really extraordinary! You can tell there is a lot of effort and energy put in by all the staff to make the experience pleasant for customers. My only minor critique would be that we were in a situation where tap water wasn't offered to us, so caught off guard we selected from the only choices given and ordered bottled water. I think it would be nice if this offer were changed to include tap water. Other than this small detail it was a great experience and I would recommend paying a visit!
My partner and I just so happened to walk by the restaurant and went in on a whim. Quite the dark, aesthetic visual walking in with bold splashes of red. We were greeted immediately and was seated where most of the existing patrons were. Quite surprised it wasn't busier at 8 PM but can't complain if we're getting stellar service throughout our short stay which we did. All the food dishes are tapas style and recommend around 5-6 plates to share between two people. Noticed each menu item ending in $0.88 cents and thought it was cute that they did that to bring good fortune to the establishment 8 is a lucky number on Asian culture. Some of the cocktails were on the higher end of the price range $18.88-$34.88 for a cocktail that serves 2 people. We ordered two dishes and a cocktail- Tea Egg, Pork Belly and Lee Ho Fook. The baiju in the LHF packed a punch in the cocktail but the overall taste of yogurt soda mixed with the lychee was refreshing. Tea Egg was surprisingly mild, creamy, and light; the sweetness of the condensed milk mixed in with the yolk + furikake was a pleasant sweet/savory combo. It's essentially the upscale, more pleasant cousin to the traditional deviled eggs. I wished I liked the pork belly more but the meat itself was a bit under seasoned and it was difficult to scoop up the bechamel sauce and the chopped pineapple/jalapeno. Overall though, wait staff were extremely attentive and we were in and out within 30-40 min. Would definitely come back to try a couple of their other staples and cocktails.
Great food, drinks and service. Our server explained the dishes as they came out and gave us recommendations as well. The food was delicious and the drinks were some of the most unique we’ve had. The bill definitely added up quickly with the drinks but it’s nice for a date night or to go with friends and share. Our favourite dishes were the pork belly and the sea bream crudo. Would recommend and will be returning!
Romantic ambiance, friendly and thoughtful service, as well as delicious takes on different types of Asian food. The 3 standouts were: 1 the pork belly, with its crispy skin and arrangement of different flavours pine apple, char siu sauce, jalepeno, bechamel, gcohugaru, cilantro which balanced together well; 2 the beef heart tteokbokki: this is like Korean-Italian fusion and is a must order item. The rice cakes are super crispy and pair wellw ith the slightly spicy, umami tomato from the sauce, which is then pushed to the next level with a generous dusting of parmesan cheese; and 3 the beef tartare, which had elements of Yukhoe with the pear, but also other asian influences like a salted choy. This paired well with the taro chips. Recommended for a date night or other similar special occasion.
Beautiful restaurant with great decor and atmosphere. The food was good. I wouldn’t say it was incredible given it’s quite pricy. The menu has a bunch of interesting options to try - something for everyone. The wait staff were very attentive and nice. 5 star on consistent water refills.
