Story

Bijou, a culinary gem in Stratford Ontario honouring the tradition of inventive French bistro cuisine presented on a daily inspired Blackboard Menu. Our regular menu is complimented by a second seating A La Carte menu and shareable Food Flights. These delectable bites are perfectly paired with small craft wineries and the best of old world classics. Now open for lunches on Friday and Saturday, 11:30am until 2pm.

We've had the pleasure of dining at the Bijou on many different occasions, it's our absolute favorite restaurant anywhere! Fresh farm to table fare, fantastic menu that's always changing, great atmosphere, and fantastic service. We found that it's reasonably priced for the high quality dishes that are offered. It's Stratford's best restaurant in my opinion. Give it a try, you'll live it!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful night out at Bijou Restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic! They grow the vast majority of their vegetables themselves and pick them daily. You can taste the difference in the freshness, especially within their salads, but also in the soups and mains. Sauces and broths are the key to making or breaking a meal. The chef created most amazing flavourful combinations in every one of the dishes we had, taking the taste to the next level. You could taste the freshness in their sauces. The service staff outdid themselves, they understood each of the dishes that they served, they were attentive and informative. Bijou just topped my list of the best restaurants in Stratford.

The service is dreadful. We waited over an hour at our table to be served, and the food arrived for one of us only after we complained. The portions for the main course are appetizer-small, and the waiter blamed us for the poor service. There are many better options in Stratford.

I have been going here many years and always had an excellent time. Great food and service.

Food was delicious. Portions were quite odd. My husband received two small end pieces of a larger steak when he ordered the beef . Wine was unbelievable. I wouldn't go back here or recommend eating here.
