The wide range of amenities from Spring until Fall are simply amazing. Big Moose is a beautiful inn with a great restaurant. Screened-in porches and open-air patios provide comfortable seating that makes it easy to relax. The Loose Moose lounge offers drinks, casual dining and excellent live music. The cabins are clean and comfortable. The camping sites are conveniently located between Lake Millinocket and Spencer Cove access to a much larger chain of lakes, and only a few miles from the South Gate entrance to Baxter State Park. A truly extraordinary operation - among the very best in Maine's North Woods.

What a terrific place. Amazing scenery. Awesome people with awesome attitudes. Couldnt have been happier with our stay. Thanks for not turning us away.

I stayed at the campground recently with a relatively large group. The campsite was very nice and bathrooms well kept. All staff members were kind and helpful when booking reservations. We had a wonderful time here and plan on staying again in the future!

Clean campsites and reasonably spaced out from each other. Bathroom facility was cleaned everyday and it was convenient to have the Inn a short walk away. I would highly recommend for those hiking Katahdin as the campground is a midway point between Millinocket and Baxter State Park.

Great food and atmosphere. The cleanest kitchen I have ever been in.
