Big Al's Canada

If you keep aquariums, reptiles or creepy critters big Al's is the place! I don't find them overpriced for a specialty store which is nice and they're in a relatively convenient location on the Oshawa/Whitby border. The staff is quite knowledgable and they have a great selection of products and critters (although I'd be happy to see more reptiles, amphibians and arachnids - their fish selection is awesome though).

Big Al's Whitby is a great place! I have been going to this location for over 10 years for all my fish and products. The staff there are friendly and knowledgeable. If you're looking for close place to home in Durham Region, this is the place to go! This is part two of the review: I walked in to big als knowing nothing about fish and really wanted a few piranhas., After annoying all of the staff for which felt to be about a 5 hour visit, I think i have learned everything that there is to know about fish. They have helped me out so much and with the knowledge that they have given me, I am comfortable taking care of my fish and i can enjoy them even more. Everyone there was super patient and super helpful, I will be forever thankful for that. This is the only fish place I will ever go to.

I buy fish and supplies here from time to time Overall a decent store. Fish are much healthier here than at the majority of big als stores. Prices are a bit high, but the selection is decent. The staff are friendly and (for the most part) knowledgeable.

Big Al's is one of my favourite places to go for my fish supplies and new fish. I have spent many hours watching the fish and other creatures they have in the store. They are always helpful and polite.

Got all my fish and supply from here . The place is big . Has lots of products to buy . Also the workers there are always very nice and very helpful
