This is an amazing place to go if you are visiting the downtown Toronto area. Not only does it have an amazing area for kids, it's educational and very fun. The slowwake shark area is my favourite as you can really see the aquatic wildlife in a 180 degree perspective. There is also interactive areas where you can ask questions for specific animals like the stingrays and sharks and even places to can pet some of the wildlife. There is also like slabs around the aquarium that describe what each fish is and even a fun fact about them! Another one of my favourite places is the jellyfish glow room with I will post a picture of with this review. All in all, I really recommend this place as I'd go whenever I get a chance!

A great place to visit for people of any age. There is a great variety of sea creatures of all sorts to see. There are tv displays everywhere with information on the exhibits. What's interesting as well is that near the end you walk through the huge room with the large water machines that supply water to all the tanks, so it's a bit of a behind the scenes look. At the end there is also a petting tank where rays can come up and you can touch them - voluntary on their behalf. There seemed to be a couple that liked to be petted. The most amazing part was the long glass tube where you can stand on a conveyor belt and it takes you on a long winding path through the tank. So there are sharks, fish, turtles, and other things swimming over your head or beside you. Amazing.

I thought this aquarium was great the first time and only better the second time I went. Great hours, interesting (and relaxing) aquarium set ups and great hours. In fact, I would recommend only going in the evening so there is no danger of being there when a school group came through (although I went at 8pm at night both times and one time there was a high school group from the US on a school trip. They came in when we did but moved through it at a much faster pace and so we saw little of them). Food at the small cafeteria was decent and the price was not as outrageous as I expected. I bought an online deal for two and it came with the admissions, the guidebook (a $2 value and it is really small), a photo in a paper frame (which I really liked and they sent me the digital copy for no extra cost) and $20 worth of food at the snack bar. When you see this place you realize it must be expensive to run and so it really does justify a higher admissions price. I think this is a gem but of course there are much larger aquariums out there.

I highly recommend this pace to spend a few hours, The exhibits we fun for all and especially the live touch ponds for the kids. I would recommend getting there early or evenings as the lineups can take a while. The small food court was ok and the prices were not over the top. The food court was packed and finding a spot was virtually impossible. The moving walkway made watching the fish enjoyable and calming. The sharks swimming overhead was fantastic. The gift shop has a large variety of gifts in many different price ranges.

This is a very unique attraction located steps from union station. Very atmospheric and ominous but educational and interactive at the same time. Tons of things to touch and experience throughout the day like dive shows and feedings. Host an event or even a sleepover in the shark tunnel. The jellyfish exhibit is worth mentioning too. Definitely a fun experience for the whole family. The food court is reasonable priced and good quality. 5 Stars.
