Small aquarium but nice, and easy to access. I went with three families, there were 12 of us in total with kids ranging 6-14. Every age enjoyed the aquarium. When we arrived at around noon on a Saturday the place was packed, if I were to go again I would probably pay more attention to the busy times. There were so many people it took away from the experience...and this was the reason for my 4 star rating. The aquarium was cool and very clean for the amount of people in there. if your looking for a 1-2 hour activity with your kids....it's a good place to visit. All kids like looking at fish and cool underwater tunnels.
We had bought online advance tickets for a specific entry time. 2 lines upon entry to the facility for ticket and non ticket holders. Since it’s a few days after Canada Day, it was packed. The 3 of us made it in quickly but moved slowly with the crowd upon entry. It was also hot and humid inside. Lots to read about and see. The best part was the moving walkway that you stand on and the water tank is overhead and around you like you’re encased by water which was super awesome! The videos and pics can show you my fave shark video! I have been to many aquariums but this one had things I had never seen before such as an axolotl and certain sharks. It is well worth the 2 hours to see what they have to offer. Highly recommend you visit this aquarium as it’s fun for all ages.
I went with my family to the aquarium, and it was a great surprise, one of the best I’ve visited. The main exhibition is incredible, and there’s a moment where you feel completely immersed in the experience, observing a wide variety of marine species up close. There was also a special exhibition featuring different kinds of animals, the “Dragons” exhibit—which was a fun bonus. The jellyfish were mesmerizing, and the manta rays, some of them absolutely huge, were especially impressive and interactive. There’s also a massive, beautiful turtle that really stands out. Definitely worth a visit!
My wife and I visited the Aquarium for the first time in Toronto. I am giving it a three star for a couple reasons. First off, definitely buy tickets in advance due to so many people waiting in line for them. Second reason being there is no order in anything on the inside,to many people are in at once for a little amount of space. However, the experience was pretty cool to see everything up close but wont go again for a while.
A Magical Underwater Experience in the Heart of TorontonnWe visited Ripley’s Aquarium during a weekend stay in downtown Toronto with our 8-year-old, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. We purchased tickets online in advance, which I highly recommend — the aquarium is very busy, especially on weekends, and having a timed ticket made our entry seamless.nnThe exhibits are spectacular — from stingrays, sea turtles, and jellyfish to sharks and even axolotls, it’s a beautifully curated journey through aquatic life. There’s even a small section with reptiles and amphibians, adding extra variety. Our son was completely captivated.nnWe went on a Saturday afternoon, which was understandably crowded, so if you're looking for a quieter visit, I’d suggest going first thing in the morning or later in the day. Despite the crowds, everything was well organized, and the flow of the experience kept us moving comfortably.nnPlan to spend about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on how much time you like to spend at each exhibit. We loved the tunnel where sharks swim overhead — it was breathtaking — and the glowing jellyfish displays were unforgettable.nnThere’s a small café halfway through, which is handy for a snack or quick break. One note: if you're prone to motion sensitivity or sensory overwhelm, some areas may feel a bit stimulating, especially when it's packed with people. But overall, it’s a must-visit for families or anyone who loves marine life.nnHighly recommend it — we really enjoyed our visit.
