Very bad service. I came with my bike and they even didn’t listen what I wanted. Even really didn’t look at it. They were just complaining how « shitty » was my bike « eurobike » and they couldn’t repair it, too long to fix…I just wanted to replace my chain….Is it so hard ? Then I asked them what I m supposed to do. Their answer: « return the bike…buy another one» I don’t recommend it if your bike doesn’t fit their standards. At the end, I found another bike store and they didn’t have any problems to fix my bike… P.S: thank you for your concern about my safety or the fact my bike is bad or "poor" but I just wanted replace my chain...Not a big deal. No need excuses about the "safety'. I have this bike for 2 years. No issues
I can’t believe I haven’t given this shop a review yet!! Okay the guys there super cool really friendly and genuinely care they pay attention to detail. They’re super quick fixes! They also have pumps out and about so you can just stop by fill up your wheels.. theyre like two steps ahead of the game! if you also wanna learn a thing or two be sure to hit these guys out!!
Peter, John and Dylan are 3 of the friendliest and chillest dudes out there. I’ve had the unfortunate luck of having to get my bike fixed often, but at least when I have to take it in again, I know it’s with guys who I can trust and are reasonable. A lot of bike shops are either pretentious, expensive, or just poorly run, and these guys just get it done for a good price, no more, no less. I only dock one star because it’s a very tight space which isn’t the most accessible friendly. Other than that, bicycles at St. Clair is top gear!
Sent my bike to fix a flat. They changed my tire without asking and put on a warped tire that was too small. I sent my bike back to get fixed after telling them the tire was not at all fixed and showed them how the tire they used was too small for the bike. They complained that finding the tire that was the right size would be a lot of effort - if they couldn't do it, they shouldn't have agreed to fix the bike in the first place! I've left three message over the past 3 weeks with no response. It's now mid-summer, gorgeous out and I have no bike to ride. Ridiculous.
There's constantly broken glass on Toronto roads, big and small, that I've had my fair share of flat tires in spite of always watching out for that tell-tale glint ahead of me. A few weekends ago, I got a flat while on my way to a lunch so I was desperate to get patched up so I wouldn't be late. I found Bicycles at St Clair just by chance and called to ask if they could help me out - the person on the phone said absolutely so I walked my sad bike over and they took me in immediately. They were quick with replacing my punctured tube and checking my tire for any remaining pieces of glass, which I really appreciated. Best of all, they were super friendly and chill in spite of being pretty busy that day. If I ever need bike fixes in the future, I think I'll go out of my way to bring my bike here.
I took my old mountain bike in for general repairs / tune-up. Everything was great; very nice people running the shop, kept me updated with what needed repairing and consulted me with options and general price points. Everything ran great once I picked it up and rode it, felt like new. In line with my luck in general, one of the tires was flat 5 days later. I called them up and brought it back in. They fixed it free of charge and informed me as to what went wrong. Overall, 6/5; they far exceeded my expectations and I will be coming back for anything my bike needs. Thanks again!
Very professional and knowledgeable staff. Gave my 6-year old bike a great tune-up, only replaced the parts that were necessary and came in a a fraction of the cost that I was quoted elsewhere. I don't think my ride has ever been so smooth! Highly recommend Bicycles At St. Clair.
After going to the well-known bike stores for bike repairs, i've found this little "unfancy" repair shop the best ever! A simple example is their derailleur adjustments and tuning....i've brought my expensive road bikes before to stores that either sell those types of bikes or have other expensive roadie bikes and would expect a well-tuned bike....those places do an okay job but Bicycles @ St Clair tunes my bikes up the best...basically excellent shifting and less noise I find when I bring it here and that's what I expect from a racing bike. I've been going for a few years and at the beginning I was suprised that such a "nondescript" shop could be so technically proficient...it just speaks to the skills of the mechanics here and another lesson that you can't judge a book by its cover. The shop owner also gives you time you need to ask questions and learn a bit more about your bike and i've learned a lot just talking to their guys. Turn around times are also quite good as compared to the bigger shops. Highly recommended!
with two different unrelated bike issues, other shops have just told me I need a replacement. brought both problems to these folks and they were able to repair the situation with no problems. they are knowledgeable, pretty quick, and super helpful. easily and consistently my best bike repair experience.
Excellent shop Peter really knows his stuff and at a great price too! Customer service to the max highly recommend
