Story

Bikechain is a do-it-yourself bike shop located on the University of Toronto's St. George campus. We teach you how to fix your own bike, no prior experience or skills needed! Use of the space is free for UofT students, and pay-what-you-can for everybody else.

We offer free bicycle lending for UofT students, and do various workshops and events.

We are a not-for-profit organization, so we love our volunteers, and always accept donations of parts and bicycles!

Mission

To preserve and protect the health of the public and to encourage safety and enjoyment of cycling by providing and operating one or more free bicycle repair and free rental facilities.

To educate the public by providing courses, seminars, and workshops about safe use of bicycles, bicycle repair and maintenance.

To protect and preserve the environment by promoting cycling as an environmentally sound form of alternative transportation.
