This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Customer service is the worst. You cannot at any time reach the store that you have bought your product from. Even if that store calls you, if you call back you will get a recording and then tells you to call their customer service line. Not only did I pay for insurance for 1 year, the refurbished phone which was purchased was dropped and broken at Christmas. The insurance covered a replacement phone for the $200. Used phone. On New Year’s Eve day I called to learn about the protection plan, I was given case numbers and was told we could go to any Best Buy except an express and exchange the phone. NO YOU CANNOT! And we were told there was a $250.00 fee at the store which on New Years was not mentioned. In the next few days after the holiday I started calling BB and kept getting the same answer that a standard fee of $250.00 would be applied in order to get the phone replaced. I explained to the 4th person and then asked the simple mathematical question, “if I paid $200.00 for the phone 8 months ago, paid 8.00/month for protection insurance why do I have to pay them again another $250.00 to get the phone replaced.” Then return the broken phone. Why wouldn’t I just purchase another $200 refurbished phone? The reply was, “ yes, I understand what you are saying, but we still need the $250.00.” By now I was so frustrated I went to the store at park place in Barrie and spoke with manager Katlin. She was absolutely amazing. Because of the review I wrote then and the only response to the review was call the customer service line again no thanks I explained everything and showed Katlin the response. I had the phone, box, receipt and case numbers with me. There was no phone in stock to be replaced she mentioned that it possibly would be there at the store in 2 days. We went back and the phone had not come into the store as of yet. So, because we are not local to Barrie she came up with a solution. We were to have the replacement phone sent to the house, once my daughter received it, she would then bring it back to the store and see Mack in the mobile department who would help her transfer all data because screen wouldn’t turn on, but phone worked. She did exactly that and came in with the new and old phone. Mack transferred all data over and then kept the broken phone as discussed with Katlin that it would be returned through the store and the packaging was also left with Mack top manager of mobile. Last week, BB charged my visa 359.00 for no return of equipment. Yes, that is right. For a 200.00 phone they charge me $359.00 for a phone that was left in a managers hands. Someone in the park place BB has not sent the phone, lost the phone whatever and now I have been charged for it and I have argued with 3 different people on their customer service line. Today, I called again, explained the entire situation again to someone and then he says I have to send you to someone else. Then, Hamzia is on the line and says, “ I understand your calling about your protection plan.” NO, are you serious. Now once again I have to explain, I am now beyond frustrated and angry as he keeps telling me that is not how returns are done. Ignoring the fact that I am the customer explaining the store did it this way and told me to, and yet he insisted that they don’t do that. He also claims emails have come and I never received one. Only emails about the service. My next stop is the store this week. Best Buy is the worst ever to deal with. What other company is out there that you can not call the store you purchased the item from. You can even call Amazon.nBest Buy, please don’t respond to this review and tell me to contact you. Cause, if you don’t like people angry, and frustrated allow access to call the actual stores, your department promised over a week ago someone would call me within 24/48 hoursn, and yet here I am needing to call you again. This is 100% the fault of the store, and I want my money returned.
The products are good as previously brought the same item in store purchase. Yet to open the box of item ordered.nnConcern is..nnPlaced online order for an item, meant as a new year gift as showing delivery by 31st Dec.nnAlas the delivery through FedEx received on 2nd jan 12.11 hrs. The very purpose has been defeated.nnSo be cautious of their delivery commitment that is shown while placing online orders.
I would like to leave a great review for Tesa at Best Buy. She helped me purchase a phone with an excellent deal and provided outstanding customer service. I also had an issue with Fido, and she worked very hard to resolve it. Tesa is very professional, knowledgeable, and truly knows how to do her job. I highly recommend her if you are looking to purchase anything at Best Buy.
I was looking for a laptop and Prit, in the labtop department, helped me find the perfect one. He asked good questions and worked within my price. He also helped me find a hard drive for a really good price.
We had another outstanding experience with Mack at Best Buy. We recently added an additional phone line and purchased two new phones, and once again, we were blown away by his professionalism, patience, and knowledge. Mack takes the time to explain everything clearly, answers every question, and makes the entire process smooth and stress-free.nnHe is truly one of a kind, and we won’t deal with anyone else for our phone needs. He absolutely deserves recognition and a shout-out for the exceptional service he provides—Best Buy is incredibly lucky to have him, and he deserves a raise!nnThanks Mack, hope you had a great Christmas and New Year !!!!!
