I purchased a computer from Best Buy Etobicoke and the experience was quite disappointing. I won't be purchasing from this location again; I will stick to Best Buy Mavis for computer purchases. The difference in service is quite significant. I purchased my computer Sunday at close and received my computer Tuesday around 3pm. I thought I was saving time allowing Geek Squad to setup my computer; however, when I got home, it was evident their Geek Squad team are not technically sound. They put Chrome links to websites versus downloading the apps from the Microsoft Store. I should've setup my computer myself, as I spent an extra hour completing the setup of the computer. Furthermore there were many applications missing. I'm not sure what they did for a day and half. I've setup computers myself within an hour to an hour and a half at max. Further to that experience I showed them the computer I purchased was listed less than my purchase price. Granted the model differed, but the specs were the exact same and same with what came in the box. As a person that started off in retail, I would've honoured the price. My experience with Best Buy, not only at this store level but their corporate policies are not customer oriented. This is a corporate self interested organization. I say this because I am a general contractor and my client purchased a microwave online purchase and they had to buy it prior to the renovation to customize their cabinets and ensure to appropriate electrical was was compatible. We unboxed it and inspected for major defects and now that we installed it and removed the blue protective skin, we found manufacturing defects, a dent and an imperfection on the finish. I was referred to the manufacturing warranty and I am not receiving timely responses. Best Buy is not positioned to serve contractors and I would not recommend purchasing small to major appliances as their exchange/return policy is limited. It's better to purchase from a store where the post purchase service is superior.
Buy your appliances at this Best Buy, read below. Remarkably awesome shopping experience.nnWent in for appliances and was blown away by the organization of appliances by brand and type. Samsung, LG, and other marques' appliances are neatly showcased in custom scaffolding so you can see them as they would be in a home.nnThe appliances section is quite large and they have an appliance consultation desk. The person staffing that desk educated me on a crucial aspect of buying appliances and I learned more from him in a few minutes of chatting than I did in an hour at Home Depot.nI walked into two Home Depots and the appliances section there sre bare and things are poorly laid out. This Best Buy looks like a professional establishment that is qualified to sell appliances compared to HD.nnThe other sections at this store like gaming, computers, phones, all seem to have dedicated staff associated with the brands they represent. All well-organized.nnThe store also seems to have a lot of their items available in stock.nnThis should be your go-to place for appliances and kitchen electronics and such if you are in the GTAnnProbably the best Best Buy I have seen in all of Canada between Alberta and Toronto.
Best Buy offers a great selection of electronics and appliances, and the staff is generally knowledgeable. I appreciate their price matching policy and reliable delivery options. However, stock discrepancies and occasionally higher prices than competitors can be frustrating. Still, it's a solid choice for tech shopping.
Honestly I don't know what to say about Best Buy anymore.nI paid basically $60 for a screen protector for my Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra. I was told that I can come in anytime and I can get replaced for free or even $10 I don't even mind paying that but the problem is every time I come in to get it replaced it's one story after another they always seem to have different reasons why they can't pull up my information even though I showed them the proof with receipts and everything.nLike what did I pay the $60 for just to get robbed very very poor management skills like I don't understand why they would just want to take my money and that's how it feels like I'm just getting robbed.nI showed them the receipt and they said oh whoever paid made you pay that should have told you that it's a manufacturer issue and you need to go to the manufacturers I'm like okay but why is this information not being told to me at the day of purchase they all I was told that I can go to any Best Buy and I can get it replaced my screen protector is peeling off a little bit and I'm just trying to get it replaced that's all I'm trying to do and it's always one issue after another always stories after stories I'm very frustrated and very unhappy with this situation because all the things that they're doing is just robbing my moneynnSomething needs to be done here and how it gets communicated out to customers from associates to managers.
I had such a pleasant experience with representative named Meet, yes that’s his name Very knowledgeable in operating systems and found a great laptop for me. Always smiles, fast in answering questions. Thank you again Best Buy Sherway ;
