The place looked very pretty and quaint. We went in and it was a pretty collection of auction items as well as a small ice cream parlor and also a bakery. Very nice experience. I bought a book I had been looking for a long time - Interview with a vampire.
Pretty cool please , alot of options for icecream and tea . Stuff is pretty awesome and looks hand made. Love the character of the place . There was loose tea in glass jars and its own corner to buy too. You can sit on the side of the building and enjoy your drink or dessert
I ordered a coffee and a sandwich, which took over 40 minutes to make! If I hadn't taken the employee in charge of making sandwiches to the side after some time waiting, I never would have gotten it as they were not told I had ordered one in the first place. Coffee 35 minute wait, sandwich 40. Orders get stacked in a pile and the barista makes their way through them. Multiple stacks end up pushed to the end of the work station. I saw the cashier look through the cups by putting their fingers inside after handling money to reorganize them. In the hour and a half I was there I saw a tray of in- progress croissants being enjoyed by a handful of flies. I really wanted to like this place and support them- I drove out of my way to do so. On paper they sound like a revelation, and a gift to the community. Sadly I would not recommend them as basic food safety was not being followed, in addition to very poor service. The hot drinks are on the smaller size for what you pay. Parking: Horrible parking, very limited. Do not park along the side of the street. I would say there are 6 spots total depending on how well people park their cars to optimize space.
Always a great stop! Great flavours of ice cream! Today lavender lemonade. Service was very friendly and efficient! The lovely girl was wearing a mask and gloves so it all felt very safe!!
It was heartwarming to see such a store in the countryside. Their hot chocolate was good and the overall ambience and vibe of the store was rustic and it felt really nice to be in there for a short while Do check this out if you go to the Belfountain area
Great place to stop in for a treat or light meal if you're out for a drive or antiquing. The patio is awesome, bursting with flowers and has lots of umbrellas for shade. Super cute dog cookies. Books and items for sale from local artists.
Struggling to determine which was best; the warm, polite, respectful, down to earth human connector of a young man behind the ice cream counter OR my single scoop waffle filled black raspberry cheese cake ice cream ....... sigh
Brunch by the creek at the Belfountain General Store exceeded all expectations & I highly recommend reserving your own table before Summer is over. The Common Good ladies are so friendly & accommodating in addition to being fabulous chefs: our entire from-scratch meal was absolutely delicious. Try the Holy Holly Pie! My mom and I both agreed that this quaint, peaceful spot was a perfect escape from the city and we will be back!
Lovely little place with interesting books and crockery. The food is great and so is the atmoshphere. The ice cream is really nice. Would recommend the rum and raisin, cherry and my personal favourite: blueberry. Staff are very nice and helpful. Love absolutely everything about this place.
While the sandwiches are delicious, the price is not wallet friendly. $50 for 2 turkey sandwiches,a grilled cheese, 2 Gatorades and a small juice. the sandwiches are wrapped and given to you in a paper bag but without any napkins. There is no sanitizer anywhere and no one is sanitizing the outdoor patio or any of the doors that you have to use to enter the building. The staff are friendly but the signs outside can be taken as rude and confusing when directing you where to go. Still, they have gluten free and vegan options. Probably a better place to visit after the pandemic is over if they make it past tourist season.
